Pros

Durmanx and Alli combo - need I say more?

Cons

Crap stock steering. Passenger seat shakes like crazy.

2006 Chevy Cc Sb Lt3 Lbz W/alli 4x4 - Graystone Mettalic — GM's lack of engineering/r&d on their steering systems - steering clunk and off-center steering wheel. You would assume alignment but its a weak idler and pitman arm along with a weak steering shaft. Passenger seat shakes like its going to fly out of the truck!! Other than that - Got to live the Duramax and Alli - Far from stock but GM gave me a good base to work with.

Work Truck — 6.0 liter pulls our gooseneck horse trailer with no problem. Great transmission which does not change up and down while going up grades. Owned the truck for one year now and have had no maintenance issue. Good dependable truck and good to work with.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Great, Reliable And Solid Truck! — solid truck, runs perfect, interior and exterior has been well maintained. Doesn't get bad gas mileage either, just recently had the K&N Cold Air Intake installed on it which has improved the breathability and MPG of the engine. Along with the Tonneau cover which also helps on improving gas mileage.

2006 Silverado 2500 Hd — Really like the reliabilty and hauling capacity. Wish i had bought a quadcab so that I could keep this truck and fit my growing family in it. I put sandbags in the bed during the winter months and get fantastic traction. Suspension is somewhat stiff, but to be expected of a HD truck. Tows like a dream and transmission is running strong as ever.

Great Truck And Holds Its Resale Value — I loved it so much, that I am buying a new one. The price on this site doesn't include the price for the Diesel motor, which is a 8000 option. And a great motor that will pull anything that you can put behind it.

Dependable — very dependable I've always gone where I needed to go with this truck. it pulls my 22 foot travel trailer with ease .and my boat like butter . with the heavy duty suspension package it rides like a cadillac when it has a load in it . it tends to ride a little rougher without at least 1 bale of hay in the back. just as tough as it can be like a rock is the chevy . I run this truck at 6000 rpms up the grades towing and I hardly even notice a temperature change in the gauges. Even though the fuel mileage isn't great the 6.0 Vortec engine is a powerhouse.

Cons

White Diesel Warrior — I love this truck. This diesel rocketship has all the power you need. It can pull good too. It has yet to fail me and Im quite impressed with its tolerance for work. Thats what they are meant for - take note Dodge. I WILL buy another one. The ride quality is excellent too - just enough stiffness - not like you know who.

Pros

Big, reliable, and comfortable truck for the family.  Good power with room for improvements on the diesel ones.  Gotta have the towing package with huge mirrors.  Great interior.

Cons

Tiny gas tank.  Econ on fuel hurts a bit.  Stiff ride but better than most heavy duties I've rode in.

Gonna Be Around A Long Time With Me Comfortable As Well. — Way more likes than complaints. It is a good family vehicle that works well on longer trips even though I would not say that was it's primary design purpose. Carry anything or pull it along and not suffer the loss of power, drivability, or much extra fuel like you would on a gas version. With a few smart upgrades you definitely have one bullet proof way of traveling.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

The Hauler — Wanted the diesel to tow my car trailer to show, added a 4" MBRP stainless dual exhaust and programmable tuner. truck rides and runs awesome. Drove to NC and got 22-24 MPG unloaded and hauling the 24' enclosed trailer fully loaded with the car was a breeze. All the torque i needed.
