2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD

Not much changed for the Chevy Silverado 1500HD pickup truck in its final year of production.  With 4 doors and room for 6, the Silverado 1500HD has enough room for the whole crew.  A 6.0 L, 300 hp V8 powertrain powers this sturdy domestic pickup that features 6 trims.

Gas mileage generally comes out to 14 mpg in the city and 19 on the highway.  Towing capacity exceeds 10000 lbs. in the strongest trims.  All trims have automatic transmission.  3 use rear wheel drive while the other 3 use all wheel drive.

Overall, the Silverado 1500HD gets props for its strong powertrain and impressive towing capacity.  On the other hand, the detractors want better materials before they give the pickup their approval.  In any event, the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD does more than enough to warrant a second look as a solid used pickup truck.
