Pros

The Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS performs great in traffic, and unlike later models accelerates beautifully on the high way. Mine came with the auto-start, which was great in the winter weather of Colorado.

Cons

The V8 engine isn't as powerful as I would have liked, especially when pitted against the mustang. It's still a car that handles best on straight away's, and not turns. You have to remember this car is front wheel drive rather than rear wheel drive like earlier models.

One Of The Best Monte Carlo's Ever! — I wished I could get more speed out of this vehicle, but highway wise it was the best Monte Carlo SS I have ever driven. I will purchase this car again, and I hope it's the 2007. Looks great with stock rims.

Your Own Personal Race Car! — This car is so much fun to drive, handles great, plenty of power and looks good too. This car is a pleasure to drive around town, and terrific on the highway. We have taken great care of this car, it's clean and well maintained.

Pros

The performance levels are excellent!!! Great Stereo system options!!!

Cons

This is not a family vehicle.. Difficult to put a car seat in the back

Would Purchase All Over Again!!!! — Ever since Monte Carlo came out with the new body style in '06, I knew I had to purchase one... The LT 3.9L has the same performance levels as the SS except it lacks the SS symbol on the exterior. Over All this is a great one to two person car.

Pros

I love the look, and the looks I get, plus it can hold it's own against most other cars.

Cons

Not many, tend to scrape the front bumper on some roads, but that'll just get worse if I
drop it and throw on a body kit.

This Is My Baby And There Are Few Cars That I Would Take Over Her. — Got this Monte in August of '06 with 16/17k miles on it. Now sitting at about 48k miles. I've only put about $900 into her. Had exhaust work done in July of '07, installed two 12" Kenwoods in the trunk with a 400 watt amp, drop in K&N filter until I get around to making a custom intake, 7 color LED underglow, various other little things all through out aswell. It's the details that count.

The tire pressure sensor monitors that keep breaking

Last Of The V8 Monte Carlos — Always wanted 1 of the last Monte Carlos with the V8. Wish came true in July 2012 after searching everywhere in MA, finally found 1 in CT. Drove down on a saturday and bought it and drove home 2 hours later. Only has 55K miles. The 4cyl mode is a lil weird. But overall I love the car and happy with it

Best Car I Ever Bought For The Money. — I purchased the car used at a Mercury dealer with only 6,000 miles. The car is flawless and performed beyond my expectations. I average 21 mpg city. Haven't traveled on any long trips so highway mileage is unknown. After five years only the rack and pinion has been replaced under warranty. With 79,000 miles tires, battery, and brakes have been the only wear items. My wife drives it daily fifty miles round trip and gets 24 mpg. I drive it on the weekends and it's as much fun to drive as the day we bought it.

Most Pep I've Had In A Vehicle Since The Early Seventies. — Great combination of comfort, style and performance. I've taken it on a few long drives (300-500 miles each) and never feel fatigued. Whenever I need to pass - no problem! Good sound system. Good handling. Have had some trouble with various censors (tire pressure, engine, etc.) All have been bad censors - no actual problems with the vehicle.

I Would Buy Another, But Next Time It Would Be An Ss. — I love the 3.5l engine, just wish it was more supported by the aftermarket. Fuel economy is great, around 35 mpg on average as long as I stay away from the E85. Build quality is alright, and it rides and drives nicely. Great car wish GM still made it.

2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Lt — Excellent fuel mileage for a vehicle this size, it's a very well built car, performance is good, the handling is fantastic, I like the long, wide appearance of the car, and on a curvy road, it's a blast to drive.....
