CarGurus Overview

The LT is the upper-level trim in the new HHR's 2006 lineup. This trim is further segmented into two tiers: 1LT and 2LT. Upgrades at the 1LT level include an eight-way power driver seat, an upgraded MP3-compatible stereo and alloy wheels. The 2LT includes those items, plus a sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch wheels, a seven-speaker Pioneer sound system, fog lamps and chrome trim. A sunroof is optional on both.

The 1LT is powered by a 2.2 liter four-cylinder engine, which produces 143 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on all HHRs, while a four-speed automatic is optional. An upgrade to the 2LT brings a 2.4 liter four cylinder mill, good for 172 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available as an option on the 1LT. Despite this enhancement, HHR towing maxs out at 1000 pounds.

This overview covers the LT trim only.
