My Little Put-put, Has Got Some Get Up & Go! — A few weeks ago, I drove 1084.5 miles in a weekend.... total gas cost was about $180.... not too shabby for 4.29/gallon.... I enjoy driving this car. Love the cruise control, not exactly please with the whole battery in the trunk thing.... but its zippy enough for my liking, not too bad for a 4cyl... =)

Great Car — i own a 06 cobalt it is one of my favorite cars it has lot's of power to just be a 1.6 but they make several models of cobalts. it gets great overall gas milage and is a very great comuting car, has plenty of passenger room to be such a small car. Handles, great and has excellent braking, the only downfall i have found in the cobalt is taht the sensor in the shifter somehow stops working, so therefore locks the steering wheel and the ignition. i think it is a factory defect of some kind i have had mine in the shop twice for the same thing. and it is also very hard to change the headlight bulbs. u practically have to take the whole front of the car apart to change the headlight itself lol. it is a really great car for chevrolet though i would definetly reccomend it to someone.the one thing i like about the car also is the battery is in the trunk. i think that is awsome especially if u are planning on putting in a nice soundsytem.it save u from having to run power all the way to the front of the car wich saves money and time. and great for easy access. and i also have to brag on the factory sound system while i'm at it has great highs and lows. u would'nt have to change them if u decided to add some subs for some serious sound. chevrolet has came a long way and is doing an excellent job in making new model cars keep up the good work chevy.

Fast and terrible on gas if you drive it fast

Great Car — Car rips in the low 3 gears - you have to feather 1st because there is very limited grip in 1st. Car is solid, makes a little body noise while driving. Lots of fun to drive, very strong cornering. Great car overall.

100% Happy With My Purchase Of My 2006 Chev Cobalt Coupe — I love the look of my car. It looks sporty and it is very fuel efficient! My car is the Royal Blue colour, it's great! Very fun to drive, lots of power. I'm the only one using this car, so it's the perfect size for me! The two door is way better looking in my opintion than the 4 door Cobalt.

Great Car, But Will Get Something A Little Higher Performance Next Time. — This is a decent vehicle. It is what I paid for. Nothing special, just gets me to where I am going. I would prefer to have a little more power. Gas mileage is good, maintenance is low, quality is cheap but good. Everything is holding together just fine. I would have also liked cruise control, you don't realize how much you use it until you don't have it.

Cons

it was underpowered but thats to be expected with a base model

06 Cobalt Ls Base — great economy car, very inexpensive. i had 35 miles per gallon on average on the highway and 30 in the city. its not the most luxurious car out there but it was a reliable car. i would buy this car again in a heart beat.

Would Never Own Another One And Would Not Recommend It To Anyone. — Have had the power steering fixed two years ago and is in the shop now for the same thing along with electrical issues and shorts. Not looking forward to hearing how much it is going to cost this time. I am very dissappointed in this vehicle and would never own another one. I hate this car!!!!!

Spend The Extra Money And Buy An Evo Or A Sti... — It's not that bad of a car, but the build quality could be better. It runs well but there are other cars in it's price range that would beat it. I will definitely not be purchasing a new one. Car is fun to drive, but engine has flaws from the factory when you put on a small pulley for more power, which causes it to blow up prematurely...

2006 Chevrolet Cobalt — FUEL EFFICIENCY...and power to boot. Good acceleration for 36mpg. Build is normal...a few squeeks after a few years. Very fun to zoom in and out of traffic. Lets see...2 1/2 years old and gone through 3 sets of tires. 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LS.
