Fun Commuter — Good pickup power for getting on the highway. Cargo space is surprisingly big. Two full size luggage bags and at least one carry on bag can fit in the trunk. Fuel economy is great for commuting. The design has proven to still look good through time.

Cobalt Ss/sc — Fun to drive car, comfortable for longer trips. Not for more than two people. The stereo is outstanding. Sunroof makes it very nice. Would not go with anything other than a turbo or a supercharged model. Makes all the difference.

Pros

Truthfully, I love my car because she is my first car. I have had very few issues with my car. I like how easy it is to drive, my 13 year old little sister has drove my car! Not my choice, I was not even around when this happened.

Cons

There has been a lot of recalls. Nothing bad, but plain stupidity and routine maintenance. The seals on the doors and truck are crap. I am trying to figure out why my car is collecting so much moisture, it is causing mold to grow in the trunk and back seat. I have kids in and out of my car on a daily basis, that is not healthy!

Perfect For First Time Buyers And Drivers — I wish it had more room, storage, and wish that my power sources in my car worked. I would have loved to have power windows and locks, Cruise Control would have been nice too. I wasn't given much choice at the dealership. worked out great, I love my car. Now if she would stop being so dang picky!

Excellent Basic Transportation — This two door coup has excellent acceleration, a smooth clutch and shifter combo, its easy to see out of, fuel efficient, practical, easy to work on, and overall, its inexpensive!! I have driven a Cobalt for over 5 years and it is easily one of the best vehicles, all things considered, on the road!

Great Sporty Car — I would recommend this to a friend, definitly not a car you would want to drive in the winter unless you changed the rims and tire. I have recieved many compliments on the overall looks. It also has great acceleration and handling!

Would Never Own Another One And Would Not Recommend It To Anyone. — Have had the power steering fixed two years ago and is in the shop now for the same thing along with electrical issues and shorts. Not looking forward to hearing how much it is going to cost this time. I am very dissappointed in this vehicle and would never own another one. I hate this car!!!!!

Very reliable and cheap to repair.

Cons

It's definitely on the smaller side, especially in the back seat. It doesn't have a ton of power.

Chevy Cobalt Is A Very Safe, Reliable Ride. — This is a very reliable car. I've had very few problems with this car. It runs great now, and always has. If something does go wrong, it is usually cheap and quick to repair. It's definitely on the smaller side, especially in the back seat. It's a great, zippy car with only one or two people, but it doesn't have a ton of power. It can struggle on hills with all of the seats filled so not an ideal family car.

Excellent Car. Great For Commuting. — I used this car to commute to school and work on a daily basis. It averages 30mpg so you don't have to dump money into your gas tank. $15-$20 covered me for a week. It needed some new things to it when I bought it so now it runs like new. It makes turns very smooth, not a lot of under steer. The brakes are very responsive and you feel safe when coming to a stop. Acceleration is pretty fast for a 4 cylinder and it's really fun to drive. Snow/ice isn't a problem. This car is a like tank in the snow.

Pros

Hasn't  had significant repair costs, easy for me to get in and out of, and is comfortable for a long drive.

Cons

Plastic galore - looks cheap.  Fuel economy should be better for that size of car.  Little finishing issues drive you nuts, like the button sticking on the shifter because they used a cheap part.   Too much engine noise.  Multiple issues that required recalls or should have been recalls.

Cheap Daily Driver — The best reason to buy a Cobalt is to get one for very cheap with 100k+ miles and then just drive it into the ground. Spending 5k+ on this car would be a travesty given what else you can find for those prices. I wouldn't buy it if I were going to drive 15k miles a year because the fuel economy is below average for this class. The comfort is ok but the internal look is cheap plastic galore.

Fast/fun Car — Got The Car With 7k On It Last October. Since Day One I Have Driven That Car Atleast 100 Miles A Day. Its Alot Of Fun Pulling Up To Mustangs Or Camaros And Walking Away From Them Without A Problem. I Havent Had Too Many Problems With The Car. Well Problems That Wouldnt Be Caused By The Constant Beating On It. On The Expressway I Get Close To 40MPG. City Right Around 32. The Interior: Comfortable. I Cant Complain. Im 6ft And Fit Comfortably. All In All This Car Is Alot Of Fun. I Would Recommend It To Everyone That Is Looking For A Fun Car And Still Wants To Get Good MPGs
