2006 Cadillac SRX Overview
Overall User Score
Based on 4 reviews
Cadillac's midsize SUV gets a reduced stepover for easier access into the vehicle, re-tooled wheels, and a few new exterior colors for 2006. Otherwise, the vehicle built off the GM Sigma platform stays pretty much the same. The SRX comes in two trims: the V8 and the V6, both of which offer RWD and AWD versions. The V8 features a 4.6 L, 320 hp V8 powertrain and the V6 uses a 3.6 L, 255 hp V6. Both use 5 speed automatic transmission.
As for gas mileage, expect to get 15 mpg in the city and 21 on the highway. Both trims have 4 doors, seat 7, and offer standard air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power/leather seats, cd player, ABS brakes, traction control, and stability control. Options include navigation system and sunroof. Both trims deliver 32.4 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats up and can tow anywhere from 1000 to 3500 lbs. Fold down the second row and you get up to 70 cubic feet of cargo space.
Generally speaking, drivers have good things to say about the 2006 Cadillac SRX. The roomy interior, solid powertrain, and option to add a third row seat get props from reviewers. While the relatively subpar interior materials and comfort of the aforementioned third seat draw some criticism, you'll find the 2006 Cadillac SRX a solid vehicle that distinguishes itself as more than just a pretty face.
