Ctsv Has It All — its a joy to drive and own. have not had to do any repairs. so nice i dont even mind getting 15mpg :P only draw back is not being able to drive it for a few months in the new England winters Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

ProsSpeed, handling, capacity. ConsPremium gas, mileage

Cts-v, Big, Fast, And Twisty. — My car is amazing. It is big enough to seat 5 comfortably and can go from 0-60 in under 5 seconds. The handling is outstanding for a 3750 lb. car. It has been tuned at Nurburgring and you can feel the difference. I bought it used which really made it affordable. The sticker price was $53K new and I got it for well under $30K 2 years later. If you're worried about saving money on gas, look elsewhere. At around 15 mpg running premium gas, DC traffic takes its toll at the pump. If you can handle the bills, it's well worth it. Check one out at your (used) car dealership today. |

Fast And Fun. — It is the best car I have ever had. Cadi did a good thing when they made this car. The CTS-V has set records and is jsut a blast to drive. the pest part its not your grandparents Cadi. and when some little ricer thinks he is fast and has his doors blown off by a Cadi its one heck of a chuckle. |

Prosthe power is tauntingly good. the styling is wonderful. the speakers are amazing, and the ride and feel are nice. Consthe visibilty is off. fairly big blind spot. and compared to the four hundred horsepower many foreign cars can put up with turbos, the naturally aspirated V8 in this car doesn't match their gas milage

ProsCorvette engine, six speed transmission, nice styling, plush interior. ConsHeavy body roll, compromised suspension and handling.

The Four Door Corvette. — I had a chance to flog the CTS-V at GM's Test Track in Las Vegas. Although this version of the CTS-V is now a 'used' product with the new generation CTS being released for the 2008 model year (and winning car of the year) it would still be a consideration for many. For one, the LS engine from the Corvette and 6 speed transmission make this thing a performer, and it's plenty powerful. However, the car sacrifices something betwen ride quality and handling, so the car feels odd cornering and accelerating with all that power. I'd prefer something a little more stiffly sprung for this type of power. Passengers may find themselves motion sick in short order. The interior has all the neat gadgets and ammenities one would expect from Cadillac. I'd like to hear a little more engine noise, though. I understand that this car is supposed to be a fusion of performance and luxury, but I'm not sure I'm 100% satisfied on how it turned out. However, it looks good, and it's got to be one of the nicest luxury cars you can find with a huge V8 and a race bred 6 speed manual built in, which makes it in a category all it's own from the get go. |
