2006 Buick LaCrosse Trims and Specs

The base model 2006 Buick LaCrosse CX sedan is a midsize luxury vehicle that gets new ABS and side curtain airbags this year. Otherwise, the 2006 LaCrosse CX remains much the same as in its first year. A 3.8-liter, 200-hp V6 gives the CX its push, along with a 4-speed automatic. Along with the standard ABS comes traction control, daytime running lights, and dual front-side airbags.

ABS brakes and traction control are standard. Dual front-side airbags are also standard and in 2006 are joined by side curtain airbags. Daytime running lights are another safety feature.

Interior standard items you gain with the CXL are a compass, and wood and leather trim. The CXL of course has a full set of power features, including a power driver's seat, cruise control, OnStar, nd a security system. An optional front bench seat can fit three passengers or add a center console. QuietTuning technology is supposed to keep the sedan quiet from road noise and shudder. A few more option packages come with the 2006 LaCrosse CXL, including CD changer with MP3 compatibility, parking sensors, heated mirrros and seats, and a power passenger seat. Audio and air conditioning controls can also be placed on the steering wheel.

The luxury mid-size sedan which took over where the LeSabre left off, the 2006 Buick LaCrosse CXS is the sportier trim of the group, with larger 17-inch all-season tires and a sports-tuned suspension. It also comes standard with a more powerful 3.6-liter, 240-hp V6 engine matched to a 4-speed automatic. Safety components include ABS brakes, dual front-side and curtain airbags, fog lights, and traction control. On the 2006 LaCrosse CXS only, stability control is also available as an option.

Standard features include a power driver's seat with power lumbar support, cruise controls (with controls on the steering wheel), leather seats, a universal remote, faux wood interior trim, OnStar, and the full set of power accessories. Gas mileage is rated at 20/30 mpg. There is a long list of options for the 2006 LaCrosse CXS, including a rear spoiler and alloy wheels for a sportier look.
