It Is A Very Good Range Topper In The Small Suv Market. — The x3 got a face lift in 2006, this face lift also included a new engine. The previous 2.5 slant 6 is gone and a new 265 horse power 3.0 slant 6 makes the car feel more lively and more torquey at lower revs. The x3 is easily faster than its competitors, the the land rover lr2 and the audi q5. The x3 also had a new suspension added, this seems like a good thing, but trust me its not. The ride is hopelessly hard and the suspension has little to no give over bumps. The result is that when you get to a speed bump you find your self going almost too slow, just so that you don't over work your spine. The plus side of the stiff suspension is good handling, the x3 is more like a car in its handling, it doesn't feel out of place on a twisty road, the "x-drive" helps you place the car exactly where you want it, along with very tight responsive steering. You have confidence when you turn into a corner at speeds at which you wouldn't normally in an SUV, but then technically its not an SUV, its an SAV according to BMW. Which stands for sport activity vehicle. I hope those activities don't involve going off road, because if they do, then your not going to go very far. The x3, despite being a four wheel drive vehicle that sits higher up than a car, the x3 is not the right chose when the road gets rough. The tires the x3 comes stock with are slick expensive street tires, they offer little grip on a off road surface. Also the stiff suspension would not take the rough surface well either. The interior has not been changed. The x3 doesn't offer real leather instead is has more durable pvc, this means if you spill something on it it can be wiped right off. The dash is easy to read and the radio and climate controls are easy to operate. All and all the BMW x3 3.0 is a very good car. it offers speed, torque, and handling to those who want an SUV. The ride is on of the main things holding it back, but the car was designed for more younger people who wouldn't mind the ride as much.

Fun to drive.  Great handling.

Cons

Tends to slip sideways when taking ramps in wet conditions.  The ride is a bit bumpy due to the stiff suspension.

Bmw X3 Will Not Disappoint — This car is incredibly fun to drive. With 240 HP, it accelerates nicely and can climb hills like no other. Great for driving in the mountains! The handling could not be better. The traction control keeps you from getting into trouble when you need it.

Pros

Panoramic sunroof opens to the sunny sky or starry night.  Heated leatherette seating is comfortable and easy to keep clean.  AWD, airbags everywhere - provides peace of mind knowing my family is safe.  BMW packed so many features into this vehicle; it's the swiss-army knife of SUV's!

Cons

Being a German import, the cost of repairs and maintenance is a little higher.  But it's worth it to have such a fantastically engineered vehicle!

Bmw - X3: The Utlimate In Comfort, Safety, Sportiness And Versatility! — Incredibly comfortable for a family, for short trips or long travel. Lots of space to haul gear. Great power, and handles like a car. Very safe, with AWD, lots of airbags and other features. Beautiful on the inside and out. I love the leatherette seating - easy to wipe clean, great to the touch, doesn't get too hot or cold, with heated seats for winter comfort! Great tuck-away storage compartments to keep organized. Very maneuverable in traffic and parking lots - tight "turn radius" for parking. BMW thought of every comfort, safety, and convenience, and packed it all into a fun, sporty, and versatile package! The ultimate driving machine.

Awesome All Around Vehicle. — A excellent allyear round vehicle. Plenty of room, decent fuel economy, great looks and fun to drive. For the money, it is a great all around everyday vehicle. If you want a vehicle to handle anything that mother nature can throw at you, this is the car.

My Bmw X3 3.0d Sport — This isn't a 4x4 so dont be fooled into thinking you can go serious mud plugging in it but however if you want a big 3 series that also goes and handles like a 3 series go for an X3, its just a 3 series with luggage space ! Reasonably economical if you drive it as such and that 3.0 turbocharged diesel engine has amazing acceleration and overtaking ability, shocks a lot of people !!!

Bmw X3 3.0i — It's a great little SUV or SAV as Bimmer likes to call them. It drives like any other BMW which is saying it's the "Ultimate Driving Machine". Not sure about that, but having owned a few and driven many. They are great! The 3.0i engine could use a little more HP, but the plus side is, I don't have to worry about turbo maintenance someday. Overall, it another great BMW.

My X3 Review — Great as a daily driver, can haul tons of stuff around, and great in the snow. This SAV is pretty agile to be an SAV, but then again it is a BMW. If taken care of the right way this car ill last forever.

Well Cared For Machine — Love handling, quality, durability and beautiful interior craftsmanship. AWD makes this versatile all weather vehicle loaded with safety features to keep you safe in sow, rain at beach or mountains. BMW engines are good for 100,000's of miles, just keep her oil changes timely
