Bmw M3 E46 — Acceleration is insanely fast. Braking hasn't been a problem with this car. The car is very tight around corners but sometimes a bit hard. Build quality is pretty good. There haven't been many problems with the car. However, repairs on this car, especially because of how old it is are expensive. Just for the 50k mile checkup it cost 2 grand. This car is definitely fun to drive and its a very uncommon car to see in my area Primary Use: Family transportation

A Blast To Drive And Easy To Live With — As a whole the car is great it has plenty of get up and go and looks good while doing it. Its a geat daily driver and does well on gas for how hard i drive it, braking is great, never at a need for anymore breaking. will put a smile on your face every time you open that s54 up. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Great Car For A Everyday Use That Is Still Able To Turn In Speeds Over 170 — Overall a very capable car. Though in corners it reminds one that its suspension is still from the standard 3 series. The build quality is lacking as there are many complaints on the rear subframe failure. Also the interior B and C pillars fabric is known to fall off. The rear deck rattles with too much bass or on rough roads. The alt will fail at around 40K. The cats often fail around the 50K-60K mark. The engine requires specific oil 10/60 that is only available from the dealer. The styling of the car still turns heads though the last model is 4 years old. While the first model is 8 years old. The S54 is a great engine and the Getrag trans is a good transmission though is often picky when selecting gears 1-3 often amplified in cold weather . Fun factor is still a 8 out of 10. I would buy again Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

///m3 E46 — Acceleration: 0 - 60 in 4.5 secs. Top speed: 204 mph= 326.4 km Very fun and sporty to drive, very nice car, it has never needed repairs. It's the euro version, so it has a 3.3L engine with 343 Horsepower. Very nice and fun to drive in a racetrack, has a lot of grip, fun when traction control is turned off. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Hard To Beat A M3 — Very fast & forgiving car. It handles like a dream. My second M3, can't see how any other car can measure up to it. Not the most comfortable ride, but if you just care to be comfortable, stay on the couch or just buy a Lexus. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsEverything except the negitives listed below. ConsExpensive parts and oils, exterior door handles can be tricky, doors close a little to noisy, expensive to replace rear tires from burnouts and donuts.

ProsGreat all round car. ConsFront disc breaks moaned and shuddered under hardish breaking

Bmw M3 Smg — Great performance and handling sports car with all the creature comforts one could want or need in a day to day car. The SMG gearbox took some getting used to, but seemed to work well. Although the gear change when set on super fast was somewhat rough. I never tried out the launch control which apparantly worked like a bomb, killed your rear tyres though. I did switch off the traction control to get her sideways on many occations which took a few km off the tyres as well. Really miss her.

M3 — I love it. The M series is the best BMW ever made. The handling and appearance is amazing! I wouldn't trade my car for any other car. Unless it was a newer one! I just love to drive it. I'm always in it, and my friends love it too! The only bad thing about BMW is they only last for about 10 years until they need costly repairs. BMW needs to work on that! |
