Good Car For The Money — great car all around. but of course no car is perfect and the only setbacks with the TL would probably be the electrical system. i have owned two tl's so far and on both I had lights go out in the interior. and the passenger window not work at all as well as the passenger side view mirror, also I've noticed al lot of noise from loose parts in the interior of the car. One thing I can say though, is that this is one REALIABLE CAR!! no problems mechanically all at, great performance and not too bad on the gas mileage (25mpg on average) and Im the kind of driver that puts the pedal to the metal.

Best Car I Ever Owned — This is the best vehicle that I have ever purchased. It has great styling, great acceleration, tight handling, and phenomenal quality of build and engineerring. I consistently get 20 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway even going well over 55 MPH. I have never had a repair issue in the 2.5 years that I have owned this fantastic vehicle.

In this day of $4 gas, mileage is just okay.

Best Decision Made — After years of cars for just me, wife 'forced' me to grow up and get an adult car (a painful process!). Looked at Lexus, Infiniti, VW. Owned an Integra about 15 years ago and loved it. Hadn't really considered Acura until I drove by the dealer, climbed into a TSX, which was okay, but tight. Then tested the TL and fell in love with it. Handles well, good pick up for a sedan, turning radius a bit wide, but all the other amenities, including one of the best nav systems going and a hands free system that Microsoft is still having to top. Great deal on a great looking car! 2012 @ 103000 miles: Car is still one of the best purchases I've made. For a six year old car, I've had only general maintenance, though the timing belt did need to get replaced at 99,000. The most painful thing is the minor dings that have accumulated due to other people. But the styling and the overall operation of this car could allow me to easily resell, if I chose, at the high end of the KBB spectrum. Gas mileage is still coming in at 28 mpg, which is what it has been all along, average, oil is still a 3000-4000 mile exercise, which you can tell the engine appreciates more in it's older age. Power is still there. Need to change transmission fluid, but other than that, Acura made a great car!

Looks Like Clark And Works Like Super Man. — It looks good but works better. High performance luxury car. Comfort features all around. Spacious. leather interior, lumbar adj, bluetooth, Xm radio and all kinds of toys. Engine looks like a neat gift box. I don't look at it much since I don't need to.

Very Good Car For Commuting And Occasional Trips — I have had this car for about 6 months without any problem, it has a good power, fuel consumption is also good, maybe not the better but it gives me about 28mpg on regular use (80% commuting + 20% city drive). Very stable in the road. The audio system is also very good but there is very low offer for DVD-a format. It does not have an auxiliary audio input therefore you need to find a different way to connect your external audio player. The navigation system is also very good, except that you need to buy map updates. I definitely like this car.

Awesome Car! — A wonderful car that combines handling with ride, stability and economy. Truly a great performer. There is no other car that comes close in this price range for the amenities + handling. I prefer the older styling vs. the newer Star Trek version.

Pros

Acura TL is sporty and extremely reliable.  This is the car that you take across the entire United States without having to worry about any issues whatsoever. TL looks great with an aggressive sporty style.   Excellent aesthetics overall.
Acura TL is definitely a few notches above a Honda Accord

Cons

Front drive handles well in the wet but tends to be nose heavy.

Sporting Aspirations With Extreme Reliability — Having owned numerous BMW's in my lifetime, I considered the 2006 Acura TL for the sporty looks and the incredible reliability. The lines on the Acura TL seem sculpted from a block of metal that appeals to me. Lots of amenities for the money including navigation and Elliot L. Scheiner sound system. Excellent power to weight ratio whilst delivering good gas mileage. Excellent ingress egress. Fun to drive quotient is meh, bland. Having owned many BMW's, I am always conflicted about reliability versus fun to drive aspects. Its not that the Acura TL can't handle a curvy road well, it does a good job. The BMW is much more involving. I feel connected to the road with the BMW. The power and and road holding capabilities are greater in the BMW that the Acura TL which feels a bit numb on center. That being said, the Acura TL costs much less than the comparable BMW and is an excellent value for the money.

Amazing Car, Great Dd And I Would Recommend It To Everyone, Especially The S-type! — Performance wise a very good car, can even compete with the current 2011 330i sedan on the streets today!, it has progressive breaks and tiptronic works nice but there is noticible lag, handling is nice i would have said the steering was a little disconnected but i had Acura tighten it up for me, milage wise average is around 17-19 with city and highway driving, bought the car new but still running exactly the same no problems what so ever with this car, car can be ver fun to drive and the vtec in the car can really put down, nice when you can hold the revs at 4k and respods very well.

A Truly Luxury Sedan At A Price Well Below Market Value. — A terrific blend of smooth handling, luxurious interiors & a lot of power. I've really enjoyed driving this car & will always stick with Acura. This car is fully loaded with Navigation, leather seats, moonroof, premium sound, Bluetooth, memory seats, etc. In 2006, this car won several awards from Best Luxury sedan to NHTS's Highest Safety ratings & I can clearly see why. A terrific purchase which made me a long-term Acura driver.

Would Not Get It Again. Fun To Drive, Terrible To Travel — Great driving car. Poor trunk space. Terrible heated seats (no heat on passenger seat back) Finicky bluetooth - always disconnecting. No fog lights available and, for a performance car, could NOT select first gear in sport mode. The sills on the rocker panels are a great way to get your pant cuffs dirty too! Overall this is a very good car to drive, but the utilitarian factors are awful.
