Vw Touareg V6 — Good looking car, especially with the 22" alloys and body kit I have. I love looking at it. Air suspension is good, acceleration is not, but it is a heavy car for a 3.2l engine. Drivetrain failed after 32,000km, not good. interior styling is modern and appealing. I like the little touches like keyless entry and start, automatic lights and wipers and height control.

2005 Volkwagen Touareg — This car handled great, the acceleration in sport mode with the V8 was amazing, on line with my old 280Z and better than my bmw 530i. One of my few complaints were the navigation system was by far the worst of 4 I ever owned. The programming of it was just terrible. I tried to call Len Hunt, the VP in charge of it, but I was told "he doesn't talk to consumers". It is amazing what these guys make being that stupid. My other issue was after 60K the infamous rattles and noises started and everything I had fixed was so much more expensive than it should have been. Oil changes at the dealership were $150.00. Gas mileage was terrible - 13 mpg. I can tell you the car was a lot of fun to drive.

Disater — This car has given me problems from day one. The motor that switches from AWD TO off road drive. I had to change rear lights as well as front lights, Single lights not working properly, and the Air bag fault and horn have blown out. Stay away from the Volkswagen Touareg. Buyer Beware.

This Is The Best Suv I Have Ever Driven... Looking For Another One. — If you are looking for an SUV that kicks some serious booty... this is the one for you. The thing about this car is that, even though it is a V6, the sport mode really makes the difference. It's a great car!

off road and on road driving pleasure

Cons

I want a bigger engine

My T — Ultimate luxury and awsome off road capabilities, 2.5 a little sluggish off the mark but hauls once it gets going and superchipped. Ideal would be the V10 but todays feul costs make it impractable.Boot space is a little limited but ample,Maintenance and servicing is what you would expect from VW, very competitive.

Pros

I like the way it looks as well as the ride itself. It is great on pavement and very capable off road.

Cons

I hate the cost of repairs on this car.

Awesome Style / Crazy German Engineering — Touareg has a great style. It is very ergonomic and comfortable to drive. It goes everywhere you want it to go and fits inside everything you want. However, it drinks gas like crazy. The cost of maintenance is high. All the sensors inside the car, which should make my life easier, are driving me insane. If I had another option I would go with it.
