2005 Volkswagen Jetta Gli Rocks — I am so biased! I love this car. It is now 5 years old. It still looks great! I have had a bit of mechanical troubles...the car was preowned and in an accident, so I don't know how much of my troubles have to do with that! It sounds awesome when you start it up. It drives smooth and handles well. I often drive 130 km/hr and more. It corners well. It is a 6 speed manual transmission. Interior has many brushed stainless accents. Recaro seats are comfortable. Interior dash lights are red and blue. Trunk space is amazing for such a small car. I have room for 2 sets of golf clubs and more. A couple of years ago, I got a bike and all the luggage needed for 3 days away for 2 adults and 2 young kids in the trunk. I cannot say enough great things about this car. Oh, one thing that doesn't look so great right now is the ground effects in the front. Because it is low to the ground, it is easy to hit speed bumps, steep rises or declines in driveways, etc. It looks great before you hit something, then it needs to get fixed. Wheels and tires look awesome (18"), but tires expensive to replace.

Pros

This 2005 jetta  all leather heated seats I have 277,000 miles on it no timing belts etc..I will always buy volkswagens after getting this car new and getting away from all those otherstay in the shop cars. I used this car for runing a route for health departments 400 miles a night never let me down or got me stranded in the back county's snow ice no problem for this car. Happy Owner

Cons

I really cant say anything negitive about this carheated leather seats in winter..

We Are Driven — Cant say one bad thing about this triptronic engine the car is a keeper.I will buy a new engine when this one goes out. This is one great car and I am glad I purchased it the payments were 599.00 a month but I was upside down on the Mits. Galant that tore up in the first 20,000 miles. If you want a great car that wont break down go with a VW. I am a Proud Owner .

Overall A Great Vehicle — Love how it handles and how inexpensive it is to drive. The seats are comfortable but the rear leg room is limited. It has a large cargo space for a vehicle of this size. I looked for long time to find this TDI wagon, but the wait was worth it.

Amazing Thrills And Sleek Sexy Style — I recently bought this car in a 5 speed semi-auto. The car came with a GIAC racing ECU and a diverter valve. After I put a short RAM on the beast, the car was nearly untouchable. Not only is this car FAST, cops do not expect it to be fast either. The Recaro seats are fantastic. The BBS wheels are so sexy, but can be a pain to clean. I wash my car everyday and treat it as if it were one of my children.

Cons

My CD player broke. Very weak body, easily damaged.

My Jetta — Performance- 1st Gear: 1-20mph exellent acceleration 2nd Gear: 20-35mph Pretty Good After 2nd gear it's nothing special. I don't really like the style of the car but alot of other people do so I dont complain. Front wheel drive car with above average handling.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

I love my GLI   its the best car I've owned to date, its really fast and fun to drive it handles really Good, i got it for under $10000. I love Volkswagen i haven't had any issues with it. The stock rims 18" BBS are awesome as well as the recardo racing seats give it a real racing car feel. The 1.8 turbo engine with the 6 speed manual transmission make It really smooth and run effortlessly even in high speeds. Still have stock don't find a need to tune it. Love this car and will also buy the Golf R32 soon. I love Volkswagen!

Cons

The fuel economy isn't that Good, but everything else makes up for it.

Jetta Gli Lovers — I will own this car for ever. Geat acceleration stops on a dime, sweet handling. I have not spent a penny on repairs with 37000 miles on her. The 1.8t GLI package only came out in 2004 and 2005 and it's the best looking Jetta ever built.

Pros

it's damn near perfect.

Cons

upgrading performance and styling doesn't come cheap.

It's Awesome. Def The Best I've Owned. — in performance I will say stock it was sporty and fun. with the add-ons it was very fun. with just exhaust intake and APR software it bumped up the power from 180hp to 240hp and almost 300ft/lbs of torque. not to mention stock bilstein shocks and sport springs for excellent handling. in appearance it was almost perfect. stock 18in. BBS wheels, stock Votex lip kit. Recaro seats and aluminum interior trim. it was damn near perfect. Cost was a factor. being a german car everything for it was expensive. the cheapest real mod done to the car was the $220 diverter valve. but on the bright side with the tuning done and with reasonable driving I scored almost 35mpg and when running full force on 20psi of boost it got a reasonable 17mpg. and finally the fun factor...you could be in the worst mood possible and get in this car and as soon as you've started going your troubles are gone. whether you like cruising. drag racing, track racing, or even top end runs. this car is ready to impress.

Cons

Slight turbo lag, small turbo.

I Love My Gli — Its amazing. Its pretty quick off the line and always turns heads. Got a few aftermarket parts on it. the only thing that sucks about it is that the parts for it such as tires, sensors, etc, are expensive as hell. It could have a bigger turbo, but other than that its amazing.....
