Rav 4 — The quality of the car is only ok but for someone average this is good enough.Performance factor however is quite good with fuel consumption not very high.Cost of owning the car is also relatively cheap and it is a very fun car to drive on the road. However the appearance of the car is only minor and cannot be compared to other higher class cars.

Excellent Car — I have been driving my family's Rav-4 for over 3 years. They had an earlier model and then renewed their lease with an updated version. The Rav-4 is an excellent combination of a roomy SUV with a more versatile driving ability. I'm able to drive my friends and our snowboarding gear up to the mountains, yet I'm still able to parallel park the car with ease. I like the new sleek look of the 2006 model, but I think that it is much bigger and therefore pushes the Rav-4 squarely into the SUV camp, reducing its appeal among the people who want a smaller but roomy car, and also causing it to compete with larger SUV's who have been in that particular market for longer. Now instead of being compared to the Honda CR-V (over which it clearly wins in my opinion), it competes with the SUV's of Lexus, Nissan, and others. However, the RAV-4 has been a consistently comfortable and competent car that I continue to enjoy driving.

Pros

Fun and cute. It's also quite utilitarian.

Cons

The only thing i dislike is the road noise in the back. I have to put sound dampeners on the rear wheel wells.

Buy It. — Good pick up, comfortable ride. Very nice to sit in because it is clean and simple. Nice finish and i love the heated seats. We haven't put a cent into the car besides regular maintenance. Very easy to drive, small overhangs mean easy parking.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Resale Value Champion — I lke the size and the performance, very good space inside the cockpit is logic and the comsumption is aceptable, good quality overall and good resale value is very important for the down of the new car, only thing i never understand is the center seatbelt on the roof and the tools under the pass seat

None — This car never brakes downs since I have had it. It runs perfectly, only oil, tire, and brake changes. It's a very good reliable car to buy. This 2005 RAV4 is great in gas and snow. It is not luxury.

My Car — The Toyota RAV4 is one of the most funkiest and gorgeous compact SUV's that came out. I like the whole package, but I wish that it had more bling. It is fast, agile, and has good brakes. The build quality is great, off course its a toyota.

Pros

interior reclining rear seats rear door swings open, easy for dogs to get in.

Cons

acceleration is SLOW, hard clutch, is not for anyone with knee issues.

Rav4 — the acceleration is terrible, this is a commuter car has AWD it's a toyota..... this is a great midget mobile -for the shorty's out there... (I'm 5'6" and if I were taller this RAV4 would not be for me) I don't sit close to the steering wheel which can cause less leg room for backseat riders....this RAV4 has adjustable rear seats they slide back and recline back which is great when I take my dogs hiking I can fold them down or take them out...easy to maneuver

Cons

Rav4 — This is my wife's Rav4 - the "soccer" mom's baby transportation. The most off-road we've done is going over the gutters. We've added nudge bar to push off the annoying Canberra kangaroos and nudge other cars in the car parks. It has lots of rooms and great handling for a 4WD.
