My Toyota 2005-2010 — I loved this car and had it from new in 2005 until 2010 when I traded it in. Great economical car with plenty of room inside for everything from groceries to bikes and dogs! Very fuel economic and I liked it as it looked different to anything else on the road.

I Freaking Love It! — Performance: In terms of horsepower it has plenty. BUT in terms of torque.. it is severely lacking but has enough to get by. Braking is phenomenal. One of the best stopping powered cars i know. Handling is fantastic for a front heavy front wheel drive sports wagon. It doesn't chirp the tires or run wide. Just grip till you have pushed too far. Build Quality: Repairs other than normal maintenance all is cheap ..... But the interior rattles during the winter. Appearance: i love the look of this car but the 03 front bumper design was far better than the later models. Cost of ownership: For being a "sports wagon" it gets pretty decent mileage. i have gotten 41mpg on the highway. and average about 30mpg in the city. but that takes a lot of carefully driving. And the sad thing about this car is that it requires at least 91 octane. Fun? Yes this a very fun car to drive. Even your friends can come along.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

I Love It, My Mum Has One Too — Great car plebty of fun. only down side i have come across is the fact the the front tires slip so easily when its wet. but! great mpg regardless. the suspension is rough.. but i coluld care less about that. it does everything i want and need it to do. its a great long distance cruiser

2005 Toyota Matrix — looking for a Matrix? Get the 2008 leftovers before they're gone. sporty looking, peppy engine, great fuel economy modern, tons of standard features. nice accelleration, easy to maintain, no surprises when in the shop took car half way across country, great MPG, comfortable ride, can take aggressive maneuvers without complaining.

Pros

I think it's a cute car.  It's a good size for me & my kid.  I like that the rear and front passenger seats all fold down in case I have something big to haul.  It was very helpful when I moved.

Cons

I think the only thing I don't really like is the road noise.

Kinda Like Mine...only Mine Has Pretty Dark Tinted Windows. — I like this car. It's a step down from what I had before it, but I have never had any major issues with it.

Would Buy Another One Anytime — Over 187,000 kms and no problems at all. Gets great gas mileage, good on the highway and extremely practical. I know Toyota's reputation has taken a beating lately, unfairly I might add, but this car has been all it was promised and then some.

Very Affordable, Lots Of Upsides. Can't Think Of Any Downsides. — I might have put 100 dollars max on that car and that's only cause my windshield wipers broke. 40$ the tank and you can drive a good while. Has a lot of space, otherwise it's a pretty normal car. Also excellent driving in all conditions.

Great All Around Car For Young Or Old — At 6'9" tall it has head and leg room. Very dependable and AWD goes in any weather. Performance is not that great, but is a very good handeling car. The all wheel drive system is great, We will keep and hand down to the kids. Great investment!

Great. — Awesome in both looks and driveability (sp?) - it was a great buy and we love it very very much! Don't really know what else to say about it... Oh, it has excellent gas mileage, which is great in these times.

Good Economical Car That Isn't Too Nerdy. By bASSmAN17
