2005 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon Review
ProsFun utility ConsTickets

Buy One — Performance - GOOD Build quality - Mechanically soild but some small rattles. Appearance - I like it but then I'm a sports wagon/estate, hatchback lover. Cost of Ownership - not too bad, until you start buying mods. Fun factor - come on 280HP mountain roads less than 1 hour away, Interstates/Motorways that are straight for miles, and snow to play with in winter :) Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsThe fact that its 4x4 and a sports car, it handles like a dream ConsThe gas consumption sucks bad

Do Test Drive One, And You Will Want To Buy It Right There! Awesome Cars. — I have owned this car for almost 3 yrs now and I have upgraded most of the car in some form or another. Even as a stock RS, this car has been amazing from the start. I would diffenately recommend this car to anyone. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsAWD, built like a tank, super fun to drive. ConsCop magnet, not the best looking car, only takes 91 OCT.

Fun, Safe, Speedy, Reliabile Car, That Doesn't Break The Wallet. — Performance - Quick car, but lacks torque in low RPMs because of turbo lag. Out handles anything of similar value on the road. Build Quality - Built like a tank. I pulled an F-250 out of the mud with this car. Appearance - Takes a while to warm up to the look of this car. Its a cop magnet tho. Functional hood scoop and a spoiler don't help. Cost of Ownership - 91 Octane only but its worth it. Its really not much more than a good Accura to own. Fun Factor - This car feels like its on rail road tracks. You can take it off road. If there's lots of pot holes and un-even surface on your road you'll be able to drive faster on it than say... a super car. Super fun. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Review — Performance- air intake makes it sound much nicer above 3,000 rpm, soon a catback exhaust Build Quality- lots of rattles n squeaks (annoying) once you get a few fixed more come up Appearance- stock but looks good, hoping to lower it in the future 2" Fun factor- pretty fun car to drive, takes turns well and has some get up and go to it Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsHandling, Engine sounds awesome. ConsDont be upset when the tranny blows
25
Awesome If You Dont Want More Hp Then Stock Or Dont Mind Dropping 4k On Ur Tranny. — Cant go wrong with a boxter engine. But the tranny could be a little beefer since i destroyed 2nd gear all ready. LB has the pics. 3k later i need a new axle gotta love job security for mechanics. The turn angles i can take make my car amazing to drive. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Prosboost Consawd gets boring, not for long though

Awd + Boost = Happy — love it, awd has its us and downs, for the most part i love it, looks sick i dropped it, and it handles like crazy, having an engine built, so should be a lot of fun, cant wait. ha ha Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsAWD / TURBO / LOOKS ConsCostly maintenance once heavily modified
25
Wrx — great low end torque, good acceleration from stock turbo, interior is very nice for stock and built for race- styled comfort, appearance is unique, gas mileage is good and maintenance is low until you start modifying it, very fun to drive this all wheel drive turbo vehicle. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsFun to drive ConsTires need to be low profile for the way i drive and the rear end of the car could be a little heavier and the power should be almost equal to all tires just a little more power to the rear tires instead of the front.
25
If The Walls On The Tire Had A Lower Profile It Would Be Amazing To Drive, For Now Its Just Awsome — The 2.5RS has ok acceleration, braking is great but the back end is a little too light so watch out when breaking really hard in a corner cuz the back end will slide out really easy when the road is wet. Other then that its a fun car to drive. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Prosit gets good mileage, it's fast, it looks better than the ones now they look like a ford i don't like them. Consnot enough upgrades. and an SOHC

It's An Awesome Car. If You Want A New One Just Drop A New Engine. — i have a 2005 sports package and i love the car. it hasn't failed me and it still kicks. it has 130,000 miles.... no joke. It picks up fast i wish there were more upgrades for it and it was a DOHC. Other than that it's kept up with a lot of 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder cars. i love it!!! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |
