Pros

Better than a Golf GTI

Cons

Nothing much..

Fantastic. — AWESOME!!! Very Fast and good handling. Sticks to the road like it should. The looks are love it or hate it with especially the unique bum. The engine is really powerful as stock, modifications would be unneccesary. Handles like a dream ,although it does have some torque steer if one drives it hard moving off from rest; this takes a bit of experience, but with practice, and getting used to the car, doesnt have much of a problem. Overall, i loved this car, even though it could have easily killed me....

Pros

Everything

Cons

It is not a new Renault Megane Sport

Awesome Car — This car is awesome to drive if you are not used to speed and power then it might be a bit scary. Bit of torque steer. No repairs yet but their is a squeak here and there but one can expect that with the sport suspension and all.

Pros

No money at this moment to buy another one

Cons

Poor quality and reliability

Totally Crap — Wrong decision. Last French car which I'll own. Cheap looking materials. Lots of rattling noise from front part of the cabin. Would be cheap to use if not so much problems and damaged parts. Only positive thing is a small consumption of diesel.

Pros

Nice size family car

Cons

Terrible service/help from Renault service dept. After 4 years the car felt it was much older. Only 37k

Don't Buy An Automatic Renault. — Don't buy anything Renault make with an automatic. This is the second car from renault we have had and both had auto transmission issues. The megane was only 4 years old and had done 37k in miles. Quoted me over a £1000 for repairs. Sold it and bought a new ford instead which we are much happier with.

Pros

The driver

Cons

Everything in the car that needs electricity

35

Avoid — Sucked for 3 years. Didn't manage to cope with Swedish conditions, had to much and weak IT-solutions. Had to repair the window electricity three times and had a total electricity breakdown. The bumpers broke down, the radio broke down, the dashboard broke down, basically everything with electricity running through itself broke down. Be careful out there, wherever u are.

Has Reliability Problems, Dont Just Buy It Because It Looks Good — Just bought used 2005 megane 2.0L have had nothing but problems. 1st day the auto transmission went, was slipping between gears then service light etc. (lucky mine was on warranty) front suspension very hard (probably worn out) brakes good, i love design interior and out, starting to have problems starting, going to trade it in or money back, but driver window just started messing up, only moves a couple inches at a time. I love the car, handles well, accelerates a little slow, brakes well, i good fuel economy, just wish it was more reliable.

Pros

Interesting stying

Cons

Read above + the worst resale value.

Please Let Me Go Back To A Peugeot Or Let Me Have A Citroen. Maybe A Honda City. — Body rattles. Quirky electrics. Head lights always fail. Rain drips on you when the tail-gate is up. Fairly average plastics. Terribly inaccurate semi-auto gearbox. In 3 years & 90K's I have had to buy 6 new tyres, a new battery, 5 new main headlamp globes + 1 new parker globe, replace the rubberstopper on the water pump & have the driver's airbag light come on every time you move the seat back and forward. The car's performance is okay though. Can be fun throwing her around corners.

Pros

comfortable and economic

Cons

lack of feel on the wheel

125

Not The Best At The Electronics Maybe — I love the economy / performance rate of my car. If you watch the screen, you can go upto 1400 km with a tank! It has a very promising acceleration but not for racing definitely. I like the design, it is still fresh looking although it's a 5 year old car.

The design and shape

Cons

nothing ?

Nice Car For Every Day Driving — The design is love or hate, the overall performance and manufacturing os for a french car very good. Cost Of ownership is ok, if it where a diesel it would be a bit more cheap. Therefore it's ok for me.

Pros

Drop top drop dead gorgeous freedom

Cons

A little too sensitive and fragile

Most Value For Money, Practical Carbio — Performance - Laggy acceleration from stationary but extremely brisk and quick to reach max speed once on freeway. Handling - Stable, steady, confident and comfortable at high speed Space - Great boot space. Build quality - Too much Soft touch interior materials for good. Not very durable under hot sun, prone to scratches Appearance - Extremely cool to look and drive. Great fun factor.
