Love It!! — When I found this car on the dealer lot back in 2005 I couldn't afford it but wanted it as bad as a Snoop needs a Dogg. A very hard car to find used. I've now had mine for more than two years and love it to pieces. Huge interior for a vehicle of this class, (remember Nissan's "4 door sports car?), and has better interior/exterior finish than any other 3rd generation Altima. I autocrossed it last year. Took third place in GS class it's that good of a road car. Ask for it to blow past the car holding you up on a backroad two-lane and it's done. Better be prepared for torque-steer though. 260+ horsepower through the front wheels can be a handful with the amount of twisting force grabbing for pavement. The brakes are so-so and could be better but most drivers would not use as much stopping force as an autocrosser would. The steering is spot on too. So fast that you have to 'pre-think' your sneezes. All in all, the 3rd generation SE-R is a blast to drive. A true driver's car.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Easy to Drive, comfortable, all around solid vehicle

Cons

for the price and type there's really no cons

Nissan Altima — It's been a great vechicle for the purposes I use it for. All around solid car, affordable, cheap on gas, and low maintenance. After owning a Mustang, this car almost paid for itself in the money I save on gas and maintenance.

My '05 Altima — Love this car, !st actually nice car I've had. It gets up pretty good, needs a lil engine work, but it's good. Too bad the governor maxes out at 110MPH. Other than that takes corners damn good no matter how fast I'm going. Haven't needed to fix anything yet, I think I might need breaks soon. Even though the things stops on a dime. I like this design a clean cut car, had tints installed I need some 18's (at least) a dual exhaust and a Grille to clean up the front end. Also they should of done the tail lights black like the SE-R model, woulda looked much better. I get anywhere between 400 to 460 MPG on a full tank, and I run 93 in it. I love this car, it rides smooth doesn't have any rattles, and it's comfortable for me and all of my passengers. I'd tell all my friends to get one of these, it's a great car.

Like It But Will Get An Suv Next — Fast, fun to drive, decent on gas. A little too low for me. I like an SUV better, feels safer. It is a fairly cheap car to operate and own. Very reliable and doesn't burn much gas when you don't stand on it too much!

Great Basic Car — This Altima is fun to drive and easy to care for. It is very reliable and has good room and comfort particularly in the front seat. We use the car regularly around town and also on long trips. It has adequate power, but we are not high speed drivers. Accelleration is fine for driving in town and on the highway, it handles and brakes well. The ride is smoth and comfortable.

Pros

It's a Nissan with proper maintenance 250k miles is a regular occurrence

Cons

Can't really think of a whole bunch of negatives except its a Nissan and resale value is always high and they are in high demand so the command a premium price

Sleek Gas Saver With Surprising Room And Handling — Like the fuel economy however I wish I would have gotten a 6 six cylinder because I like to go fast like Ricky bobby. I love the low cost maintenance of this car other than oil changes and a new set of tires I have t had to do anything

Cons

A Simple, Over-powered — nissan altima 3.5SE is a very roomy & simple in repair car. but somtimes it feels like it's too much power for frontwhell drive vihicle, especially when it's rainy outside. in other terms it's mostly like toyota camry 2002-2006. but it's fun to drive it! the only reason i sold it, because the cost of ownership was exceeding my family budget haveing two cars with 3.5L engine.

Pros

Power, Brakes.

Cons

Styling, Reliability. Mileage

Great Performance(acceleration And Braking Is Amazing) But Stying Leaves Much To Be Desired — the front headlights are black chrome while the taillights are in a plain chrome. along with a nasty green tint and a egg carton like grill i'm disappointed. brakes are exceptional, power is immense from the v6, but the mileage isn't too great. the rear brakes siezed with less than 50,000km on the car wearing the pads down and damaging the discs within a couple of weeks. Interior is nice but has been coming apart a little too easily in some places(back panel of front seats).
