Comfortable, solid, loaded!

Cons

Gas guzzler - even with a V6

Coulda Used A V8! — Not a ford guy by nature, but this SUV is absolutely loaded and the price was unbeatable. So far, I love it and it has been a quality vehicle. The only thing I would change is the color...and maybe the wheels.

This Is The Only Vehicle That I Like More Now That When I First Bought It. Very Poor Gas Milege But Very Rugged And Powerful. It Has Kept Me Going And Feeling Safe During The Worst Road/weather Conditions. — I had never owned a vehicle such as this, but moving several miles from the nearest main highway, I felt it was a necessary purchase -- even knowing that gas milege would be an issue. Still, the need to feel safe under the most difficult of driving conditions was paramount. This vehicle has seen me and my family though blizzard, white-out conditions, storms, and unforgiving terrain. I like this vehicle more now than the day I drove it off the new car lot.

7 passager, AWD is great in winter and Hugging the corners. drives like a luxury car. Just about everything on this is sweet!

Great Suv!! — This car is very nice to drive. very peppy and powerful. with the feel of a luxury car when you drive it. Seats 7 comfortably. or drop down the 3rd seats for cargo room and if you need more the 2nd set also drops down. This one has all the bells and whistles!!! And with the towing package on it you can pull whatever you want and she will do it.

2005 Mercury Mountaineer — Our first SUV. Used primarily as the family vehicle but did not use it much as I had a company car that I used most of the time. Good looking vehicle overall but it lacked power when towing a trailer. Would be ok for a short distance commuter and its AWD capabilities.
