Understated Elegance With An Attitude. Destined To Be A Classic. Great Used Value. — After owning three Corvettes and a couple of Mercedes roadsters, I am no stranger to performance. When I bought this 2005 CL55 AMG, I expected much more luxury with less muscle. (The verdict) This car has all the comfort of a flagship $130,000 Mercedes, no disappointment there. However, this 493HP supercharged screamer quickly puts all the bad boys in your backwash. Active Body Control, sport suspension mode, paddle shifters etc, gets it anywhere you want to be as quick, or quicker, than you want to get there. I was ready to accept the fact that it is OK for men my age to slow down, get comfy and cruise in style, which is easy to do in this car. However, in 4.6 seconds I can go from zero to sixty mph AND my internal clock goes from 60 to 21! Fun to drive? Duh? If not for a 155 MPH electro-limit, one might expect top speeds to get dangerously close to the 200 speedo peg mark. That's just stupid, but way cool, huh? In 2 years or ownership fuel economy is consistently over 18 mpg and expenses have been limited to routine service. 'nuff said!

Pros

You don't "Handle" this car, It Takes You For A Ride..The Interior Is OMG wonderful, and you can see the Exterior is all Class...I like the body on this car more so over the new body style .

Cons

There are no cons to driving a 12 cylinder car...if you complain about the gas prices, why buy a 12 cylinder in the first place....Love My Car!

Does Your Car Turn You On? — I know that the tv commerical that asks the questions.."When you turn your car on, does it turn you on?" This Car will Turn You On! The exterior is beautiful, I like this model much more than the new body. THE INTERIOR has a suede ceiling, soft leather a/c and heat seats, and the driver seats give you a massage..no kidding.

I Love It! — Love the car...will probably buy another newer one in the near future!!! Car is fantastic around town and fun, fun, fun on the interstate. No need to "show off" in it...car speaks for itself. Buy one now if you're a MB fan.

V12 Bi-turbo — This was the first 12 cylinder car to ever call our garage home. Performance wise to was an all out powerhouse. With 604 horsepower and 738 ft-lbs this AMG was an absolute sleeper. To the average person it looked like any other mercedes which is kind of a pain considering its near 200k price tag.
