Mini Cooper S: Unbeatable! — The car has soul! it is great for jumping round town, it's fun to take on 2 person road trips, it's acceptable on the highway, and who can complain about the fuel consumption? Current mods: 17" O.Z. Ultraleggeras wrapped in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx's, Helix custom CAI. Hoping for: BlueFlame Exhaust, TurboKompressor kit.

ProsQuick, nimble and great handling ConsSmall space for luggage and rear passengers

2005 Mini Cooper S Jc Works — Great handling car with tiny depreciation. We could probably sell the car for not much less than we paid 3 years ago. Handles superbly, and the supercharged and John Cooper Works tuned engine gives adequate performance in a small car. Still brings a smile to my face when I drive it

ProsSame as review above. ConsSome minor build issues, price of factory accessories.

Fun To Drive, Looks Great, Awesome Gas Mileage. — Decent acceleration with the base Cooper. Build quality is good except for minor issues. I installed the side skirts which are OEM parts. Fuel economy is good. 50L tank, I get an average of 800km's per tank. That's about 45mpg. Fun factor is amazing. Just like the commercial says. "Go-Kart handling"!

ProsGreat looks, Fun driving, still good on gas. ConsExpensive repairs.

Fun Car Not A Daily Driver. — the performance is good, I've done 110 on the track. quick braking, solid handling. Needs TLC, not to be road hard. Repairs cost me about 6k a year. Everything must go through the dealer so you pay top dollar for everything. overall the quality is so/so, I've had leaks in the sunroof, fan failures, computer glitches, stalls, you name it. you can't beat the look of the car, inside and out it is a good looking car. sporty and classy. The best part about the car is the other owners, 3 years and we still wave at each other.

ProsSummertime and High Mileage with plenty of REV! ConsSnow and Bumpy Roads.

My Mini Max — Best car for Summers in New Mexico...Hands Down. It turns heads especially with the top down and with the Harmon Kardon sound system it is fun to zoom down the highway with my tunes. Alternatively it is the worst card for New Mexico's gravel/dirt roads or harsh snowy winters. Not a snow car at all. Right now...I love it....Summertime with high gas prices=I am in love with my MINI MAX.

Most Fun In A Car — Think of the last time you were in a go cart at a track and how much fun you had and how disappointed you were that you had to pay another 6bucks to ride again. now imagine that even at todays prices 6 bucks will give you about 40miles of go carting. the mini cooper s is a go cart that is much more cost effective.

2005 MINI Cooper Hatchback Review
ProsStylish, fun, great to drive. Best in Chilli Red with white roof, stripes, wheels and mirror covers. ConsVery small inside, expensive and useless dealers, too many around now. Hard to get in and out if slightly dodgy back

Special As Long As You Have Only One Other Person You Want To Take. — Looks great, goes great, handles great. Not very big inside especially in the rear seats - not even kiddies are happy back there. Dealers - well at 95 quid per hour they are a complete bunch of morons, taking 4 hours to change brake pads. Only got rid of it as duffed up my back and couldn't get out of it. |
