My Liberty Is Cool But Needs Upgrades — this car is fairly good on gas, especially on those long trips. the performance is alright, it gets up and goes when it needs to. maybe the speakers could handle a bit more. i like my music loud. there's usually enough space for all of my stuff. Primary Use: Family transportation

My Jeep — it's a 6 speed!! fun and super zippy.it likes to get up and go fast. corners ok, but it has a narrow wheel base, so can't go really super fast around corners. but, the turning radius is amazing! i can turn around in the tightest of places. my one regret is that i didn't get the 4-wheel drive [i couldn't afford it :( ] and it's back wheel drive which sucks ass in the snow and ice. otherwise, its great1 Primary Use: Family transportation | ||

Jeep Liberty 2005 — Great all around small SUV. Glad I got it before the design change. Could be better on mpg, but not bad, esp. highway driving. Love that it uses reg. gas. 4WD great, especially with 6 speed manual transmission. Would buy it again. | ||

This Was My First Car And I Don't Regret Ever Buying It. — I would have bought the 4WD instead of the 2WD, but it is still a great car. I drive about 100 miles per week and gas tank lasts about a week and half at this rate. Engine has a lot of power. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Getting Rid Of The Liberty — Found out today that every valve on the right side of the engine, on my 2005 Liberty with 29,000 miles, is burnt. The story from the mechanic it is that due to some carbon build up and it has caused the valve guides to go bad. He also stated that not driving it enough can be a cause for the carbon build up. He also found that one of the timing chain guides had broken . . on the right side. Coincidence? So, $3100 later it is time to say goodbye to the Liberty Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

My Jeep Review — I don't like that the heater will absolutely burn your feet up but the air around your body will still be chilled. Otherwise, the four wheel drive is awesome and will really get you out of sticky situations. I have plenty of room to haul things as well as comfortable seating for 5. Great Car And Strong — I love my car. Great motor and I did not have problems with. The interior is atractive, but the sits fabric are weak. The contact with water makes stains in the fabric. Is fun to drive, because can go to every different conditions of terrain. The only problem is the gas mileage, is very high. |
