Pros

Size, Safe, Reliable, Low Cost (never needed any repairs, just routine maintenance)

Cons

The AC went out at around 120,000 miles.  The cloth seats stain very easily.

I'll Buy Another Jeep — I bought my Jeep new in February, 2005. The only issue I had was the AC went out at around 120,000 miles. I recently lost my Jeep (with 149,000 miles) to ice & a guardrail. Even though I bounced off the guardrail, flipped on my (driver's) side and slid spinning about 30 feet before flipping back upright, the engine never stopped running. I turned it off and walked away with a few bruises. For that reason alone, I am now looking for another Jeep.

I Love My Jeep — 1 week ago I bought the Jeep Liberty. I am in love with Jeep. Gorgeous, super comfortable, spend a little gasoline, but nothing extreme. I feel very safe driving in the jeep liberty and it is a very comfortable car with a nice trunk!

Pros

gas mileage

Cons

it's not a sports car

My Liberty Is Cool But Needs Upgrades — this car is fairly good on gas, especially on those long trips. the performance is alright, it gets up and goes when it needs to. maybe the speakers could handle a bit more. i like my music loud. there's usually enough space for all of my stuff.

Pros

it's fast

Cons

it's not four-wheel drive

35

My Jeep — it's a 6 speed!! fun and super zippy.it likes to get up and go fast. corners ok, but it has a narrow wheel base, so can't go really super fast around corners. but, the turning radius is amazing! i can turn around in the tightest of places. my one regret is that i didn't get the 4-wheel drive [i couldn't afford it :( ] and it's back wheel drive which sucks ass in the snow and ice. otherwise, its great1

Pros

Comfort, utility, driveability, uses reg. gas

Cons

cloth seats almost impossible to clean.  Not great around-town mileage

Jeep Liberty 2005 — Great all around small SUV. Glad I got it before the design change. Could be better on mpg, but not bad, esp. highway driving. Love that it uses reg. gas. 4WD great, especially with 6 speed manual transmission. Would buy it again.

Pros

Strong engine, road manners

Cons

Engine noise, Comfit, Dash board

Strong Engine But Too Loud In Cockpit — A fairly average vehicle in every respect, good engine behaves well on the road but what really lets this car down is comfit and the horrid noise of the 2.7CRD engine it like a tractor after about 15-20mins it really get on your nerves, needs more sound insulation alot more.

Pros

In Colorado it is nice to have a 4x4 that does break the wallet.  Highway driving about 23mpg, great compaired to my old Xterra.  It handles great and has great pick up.  It's also roomy and great for road trips.

Cons

Well like I said, it is not a car.  Gas engines are rather thirsty at the pump compaired to a car.  and it does have less cargo space than some of its competitors.

Capable & Comfortable Compact Suv — Extremely capable off-road, creative interior design, still a Jeep at heart. Exterior appearance changes in 2005 include a new front fascia, grille, fender flares and body side moldings. Interior upgrades include relocated power window switches, new instrument panel cluster graphics and trim bezels and improved seat comfort. The Liberty handles really easy, it is a safe ride and has a good bit of power with the 3.7L v6 Sport model. It is fun to drive and take to the mountains.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Perfect — I honestly wish I would have never traded off my Liberty. It was the perfect vehicle for traveling, driving to work, or going camping. I will have a Jeep again. I am broken hearted they quit making the Liberty. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Pros

The vehicle has great power for it's size. With a new turbo, updated maintenance, easy handling, minimal blind spots, new break pads/routers, and no accident history (knock on wood), this little car proves to be a solid vehicle. It handles great off terrain, but like with most 4X4 vehicles, a lift would make it all the better (hence 3 out of 4 stars). The overall feel of this car is pleasant.

Cons

There are some basic cosmetics that need to be addressed. Crack in windshield, basic wear, so on. But these basic, and small, problems don't ruin the overall look/feel of the vehicle.

I Love This Car, But Unfortunately In A Transitional Part Of My Life. — I love diesel vehicles, and this one doesn't disappoint. The only thing I'm not the biggest fan of is the chrome accents. But I've never been much of a chrome girl. This car is also great at hauling loads. But like most diesels, it's important to allow the vehicles engine time to warm up, and cool down.
