CarGurus Overview

The 2005 Hyundai XG350 L received an 8-CD changer, hidden in the trunk. Otherwise, there were few changes from 2004. The affordable front-wheel-drive luxury sedan with the 100,000-mile warranty is powered by a 194-hp, 3.5-liter DOHC V6 and 5-speed auto transmission with manual mode. Like the base model, it came standard with 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, automatic headlights, foglights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, 16-inch alloy wheels, and dual front and front-side airbags. It added traction control and the auto-dimming function on all mirrors. Rear seats split-fold 60/40, and the trunk holds around 15 cubic feet and features a cargo net.

It's hard to believe the XG350 L fit so many features in at no extra cost. Moving beyond the base, it added heated seats, memory settings for the power driver's seat and mirrors, a sunroof, and faux wood trim to go along with the leather trim on the doors and steering wheel. Already standard were leather seats, power front seats, full power features, wheel-mounted cruise control, heated mirrors, intermittent wipers, a garage opener, remote entry, and front and rear climate control.

Since it already had so much to offer, there were no options or package add-ons for the 2005 XG350 L. Some drivers wish a navigation system or DVD player had been available as well. Other complaints mention the small trunk. Overwhelmingly, though, owners loved the bargain price for a luxury wannabe, and say the power is peppy and the road noise noticeably reduced. Disappointments include its 18/26 city highway mpg, and the lack of an automatic locking system.

This overview covers the 4 Dr L Sedan trim only.
