2005 Honda Civic Si Review
ProsIts not that common, i like that most people dont know what it is and i think it just looks cool. Consnone, its weak points are made up by the strong ones.

I Like It! — I love the look of this car wish it was a little lower, the tail lights are not the best looking wish they were just red like the 02-03 si. Performance wise, it handles very well, braking is awesome, accelleration on the other hand is almost a joke, it has absolutly no torque stock rated at 160hp and 132torque, i actually turn off th a/c to accellerate onto the highway. if you drive it right though the close ratio gear box and high revving engine make it fun to whip around corners and makes it feel like your going faster than you are. The interior is the best part of the car recaro seats, red stiching the shifter posistion is great comes right out of the dash close to the steering wheel. the back seat is easy to get to. which makes it easy for baby seats, which is why my friends call it a mini, mini van. Must Buy For Cheap And Reliable, But Somewhat Fun And Powerful Transportation! — Performance: Slow from take-off, high power past 4K rpms, surprising amount of torque Build Quality: Amazingly well built. Not a single issue yet. Only squeaks were from bad brake pads. Car is built like a rock. No repairs have been needed in 5 years! Just general maintenance like any other car. Exterior is alright, kinda normal and average, seen everywhere. Interior is low-end but comfortable. Has all the necessities, which is acceptable. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Prosvery reliable, great interior, 35 mpg Consroad noise, a little lite on power.

Great Car — I love this car. In my opinion, the exterior looks better than the 8th gen civics. It could use some more power, but you can't beat 35 mpg. The interior is much better than others in its class with a very clean looking dash and center stack. Back seat leg room is adequate and there's plenty of room for cargo in the huge trunk. I bought it new 3 years and almost 40000 miles ago and I haven't had any problems. My only real complaint is that at highway speeds there is a little more road noise than I would like. I would also invest in some different tires if you plan on much winter driving since the stock tires don't offer much grip in the snow.

ProsPerformance and the sporty look it gives ConsThe position of the exhaust bumps with the breakers

A Thrilling Civic — The grip of honda civic is way better than the other cars around. The performance gives a much higher output than an ordinary corolla. Though it costs you more but it worths it. It is more spacious, the interior, the trim works all of them are better than the corolla. Primary Use: Family transportation

Can't Go Wrong! — Great handling, decent gas mileage. Much roomier than you would think and lots of fun to drive. Have not had much repair work done in 5 years the car holds up really well to rough driving. Highly recommended to anyone who asks! Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsCheap insurance, nearest thing to a type R without the cost. ConsIt's an FF, and I'd rather have an FR! The engine is decent for economy, but not much cop in a drag race.

Not Too Bad Really. The Turning Circle Is The Worst Thing About This Car. — It's ok, definitely more for economy rather than power. The brakes are pretty damn good, but that 1.6i engine should have always been a DOCH rather than the SOHC that it is. Still, insurance is pretty cheap on it. The turning circle is truely shocking though... Primary Use: Family transportation

Prosworks as advertised Conspaint is easily scratched

It's A Honda — Nothing bad to say maybe only that quality of paint seems to have changed for the worse between my current Civic and my previous Civic. Other than that it has been flawless. Well built (maybe a tiny rattle here and there which is understandable as it was not made in Japan), everything just works. It is so maintenance free that i had to flush out a rat that found its little peace of heaven in the engine compartment. Performs well, VTEC still does its magic. ProsFuel economy Conssize

Great Buy For A Single Family — I love my car, excellent gas mileage, about 40 mpg, but its a little small for us now. Has plenty of get up for a 4 cylinder. Had the car for 3 years with only one mechanical problem, and the was driver related. Over all a great vehicle! Primary Use: Commuting to work

Great Buy For Anyone Who Drive A Lot. — I drive a lot for work, and the civic has been great. It is the perfect combination of economy and sport. It handles really well on curvey roads and has great pick up. It also is spacious enough for two adults and two kids in car seats. Primary Use: Commuting to work |
