ProsPowerful, reliable, comfortable. ConsHad some trouble with the transfer case over the life of the vehicle. No problems now.

A Member Of The Family — I teared up when I put a for sale sign on it recently. I love this truck. Before this one, I had a '97 regular cab Sierra. When I started having kids, we bought the extended cab and this truck has been a part of our family. We've taken it 120,000+ miles and I'm certain it has at least another 240,000 in it. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Great Rig For Towing, Hauling And Daily Driving. — This truck primarily used in a farm setting. Being used to haul hay, check fence and drive off road. It also makes 2 trips from KY to FLA for vacations twice a year and it performs like it should in both roles. Good durability across streams, rocks and muddy conditions. Great road manners and decent mileage for a cew cab. I got rid of my 2007 Nissan 4X4 Crew for a more reliable 2005 GMC. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Gmc Sierra — GMC is simply builds the best trucks. Outstanding performance and handling. Gets better than average gas mileage. This truck can go through anything and keep on going. I will have this truck for many years and continue to buy GMC trucks.

ProsExcellent everything - both inside the cabin and out Consslightly less engine performance than expected on V8 engines - dont think about getting the V6

Gmc Sierra De Madre Slt - A Home Office Away From Your Home Office — A solid truck with just performance lacking on the V8 5.8L engine - dont even THINK about getting the V6 thinking your going to save on gas - with traffic your not going to be flying anyway. Everything else on this truck, from looks (when its not all banged up) to interior comfort is very high, as all SLT GMC models are - much better in these "older" sierra classic models than the newer ones.

Wont Buy Another One — basically has no balls to it above avg build exterior color is plain and interior is boring fuel mileage is decent for a truck truck is decent to drive, but only in dry conditions does it handle well.. in slick conditions it becomes a drifter Primary Use: Commuting to work

That's It!!! — good pick-up but high on maintenance after only 106000 km but will still keep it for a long while!!want to get a body lift and raise the suspension and then add some mud tires and finally get a real box cover in fiberglass! Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Never Going Back To A Car For A Daily Driver If I Can Help It — * Performance - acceleration, braking, handling are what you expect from a truck * Build Quality - 85,000 miles and no rattles or strang noises to report, transmission internal part replaced under warranty * Appearance - Interior is a bit dated by todays standard, but the seats rock and the exterior is classic GMC goodness. * Cost of Ownership - Gas mileage not to bad, 15-16 in town and 18-23 on the open road. * Fun Factor - its has its moments of joy.
