Pros

Fuel economy, handles well.

Cons

Suspension is cheap: sway bar and links, suspension knuckle, control arm, ball joints. Replace and WELD

Great Car Overall, Has Potential But Lacks The Engineering. Very Modifiable. — Fuel economy: Great! Handling: Above average; with suspension mods and Dunlop SP60's (passenger tire with an aggressive tread) I drive a lot of dirt roads ;) Power... ok. Surprised me the first couple times I punched it in bottom of 2nd. Ball joints are DANGEROUS! Tac weld some washers on top of them if you don't like trees, ditches, etc. 4 door model is decently roomy for 2 average sized people on a camping/whitewater kayaking trip. It's fun to drive, especially on back roads in the mountains.

Focus On It — First off I hate Focus's. the only reason I bought this is b/c It hadn' hit the books yet so I got it for 3k under the dealership retail price. That aside, It is a nice car and handles pretty well for stock. The mpg is another nice thing 25-28 city and about 30+ highway. I've had it for about 2 years now and its kind of grown on me. It's still NOT the fastest thing on the planet but i am starting to devise some plans.

Pros

top of its class as far as driving fast is concerned

Cons

no rear disk brakes

Love It ! — above average performance in all aspects(122 bhp-6500rpm 0-100km/h: 10.5 top speed: 210 km/h or 130 mph), great quality, low noise level at normal speeds, very few repairs (within logical mileage), stylish but not very fancy either, "thirsty" if driven fast, too fun to drive - the best on that pricetag if you ask me- always predictable though, whenever I'm in my focus no matter where I go I always want to drive it as fast as I can! because this is the way cars like this should be driven... I know there are much faster and much better cars than mine, I overtake them often LOL

If Your Looking For A Cheap Way To Get About Town. A Focus Is The Way To Go — Great commuter car. Gets good fuel mileage in tow and highway. Its never left me stranded. Ive had to do relatively no major work to it other than normal maintenance. Its not a race car but its fun to take it out on the weekends and beat on it

Easy To Live — nice attractive car nice to drive handles well with nice power for country road overtaking moves. Looks good and is very well equiped for the low cost. Plenty of space in back more than big enough for 5 adults. i would reccomend

Pros

You'll probably find one for cheap, and it's not a Cavalier or Civic.

Cons

Your friends might make fun of you for driving it.

I Love It. This Is My Road Trip Machine. — It's a pretty decent car. Really responsive throttle, okay braking, and a little more body roll than I'd hope for but it works. Since it's not too stiff it's fun to drive, especially in the snow. As for the quality, the sunglasses holder rattles and a weird noise comes from the heater when it's cold. Overall, it's a cheap, fun way to get around town, and it has enough room for your spontaneous road trips.

Pros

its a all around fun car to drive

Cons

mine burst into flames in the middle of a highway

Fun, But Dangerous — it was a really fun car to drive. needed a little more power. beat many cars because they underestimated the little red focus. rated at 151 hp and being so small with a 5spd manual transmition. handled extremly well for a compact 4 door car. reminded me of the old jettas. was like a over sized go cart

My White Diesel Focus — what can i say its a 90bhp diesel!! and i'm a diesel kinda guy!! it shall be chipped to reduce fuel bill or increase it! bad tendancy to spin wheels in tight bends, would be better if it was fitted with discs on the back

Simple And Sweet — I would like to say my little car super awesome. I drive it a lot! It picks up speed quickly and no matter what they say about front wheel drive, you can to go drifting! I really like my car!

Pros

cheap, and easy to drive

Cons

if you like performance

It's A Gramma Car. — acceleration is awful. handling is pretty good. it is built alright, but cheap interior. overall performance is not good. the cost of ownership seems to be pretty low and it does get good gas mileage. Overall, a good utility car, fun to drive in the snow, but other than that, not my dream car.
