Head Turner Of A 2005 Fx4 — I love my truck. great looks and very dependable. Averages 15MPG... up to 18-20 MPG on the highway. Front leveling kit really sets this truck apart... looks aggressive, but not way out there! 20" rims and wide multi-surface tires also set it apart. Tires are NOT noisy.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Buy A Damn Chevy — i hate that its a ford!!!!!quality comes with a chevy. ford performance is low. appearance is alright. gas mileage is terrible. lucky if i make 15 mpg. tires are so freakin expensive. its ok to drive. doesnt handle to well in the snow. too light.

Awsome — recently purchased this truck with 95k miles on it, love the quality ford puts in these trucks, the 5.4 has plenty of pwr stock although im planning to add a few mods for that little xtra. we had a bad snow storm at xmas and it got me around no problem.

Pros

Love the sturdy feel of this truck. Runs strong.  I think its the toughest truck on the market.

Cons

Changing the plugs on these trucks is a chore,  but it doesn't have to be done that often, so I can deal with it.

Workin' Mans Truck. — I just like the feel of this truck on the road. Seems to be tight and strong. The 4.6 is a little underpowered, but it does the work I need it for. Like the looks too with oversize tires, it sits up high and rides good. Also like the fact that Ford didn't need a government (taxpayer) bailout to stay in business. That says a lot about the company.

Black Beauty — This is the most inviting interior cabin for a truck I have seem, Ford motors really put their work in stepping up their game on this one. All the luscious fell of a luxury automobile, the four doors and entertainment center make it a joy on either short or long trips. What a family vehicle.

The King Of All Pickup Trucks — The only pickup to own. My King Ranch is reliable and fun to drive, It has never let me down. I take care of it and it takes care of me. With 150,300 miles on the odometer, It still runs like new. I average 15-16 MPG around town and 19-20 on the trips.

Pros

Good riding, driving & handling for a truck.

Cons

The worst thing I could say about the 2005 F150 is that Ford could improve on the comfort of the front seats. I actually raised the front angle of mine about 3/4's of an inch.(Manual seats.) I had the feeling of sliding out of the seat.

Still A Good Ride After 10 Years. — I bought this truck new & have spent less than $500 on repairs. It helps that I do my own maintenance & any repairs that do come up but this truck has been very reliable. I also only have about 65,000 miles on through August 2014.

Great Truck! — We have had this truck for 5 years and have had very few problems with it. I think in the 5 years we've had it, it's only been in the shop once or twice. My husband loves this truck and in the future will definitely purchase another for...most likely an F250

Good Price For What You Get — I love the full 4 doors. Has been a godsend w 2 kids in car seats. Big enough for 4 adults and 2 kids. Tows a 19 ft camper adequately but needs more power. 4.8L engine struggles up grades that others fly by us. Cloth seats easily stained with young children and showing wear on seats.
