We All Know What Fiat Stands For. — Awkward driving position, and cheap parts. I'm not a FIAT fan, and these two went no distance towards changing that. Performance was ordinary, build quality the same, appearance ditto. I think my feelings are tainted by the lack of maintenance these vans suffered. I reported things that simply never got looked at or repaired, other drivers failed to do basic weekly vehicle checks resulting in the untimely death (and shamefaced sale) of both. Other failings, the engine warning light did not come on when the engine had no oil in it (killed the blue one). The radio Ariels break off soon as look at them, and the gear stick mechanism (right-angle joint) breaks about once every 5000 miles and needs a spot weld. (this fail = stop roadside and be towed). On the plus side, loads of room and easy to park, and would make an outstanding disabled / wheelchair drivers vehicle due to the size of the interior and the big doors. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) |
