ProsLooks and Comfort ConsCould use a bit more power
175
05 Dodge Stratus Sxt — This model can use a bit more horsepower for better acceleration but the handling is responsive and well built. If you want a faster sportier version go for the R/T. Still a nice car to drive around. Not very expensive to maintain just the usual oil change and tires. Gas mileage is pretty good, about 30 mpg on highway depending on how you drive it. This is the 2.7L not the 2.4L. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsQuality, Reliability, Handling, Appearance, Comfort ConsRaw Power

Stratus — Performance: Acceleration is average. Braking is middle of the pack, as SXT model has drum brakes, handles awesome with a rear sway bar and new springs/struts. Build Quality: Never needed any repairs/defects besides maintenance (oil changes, tires, brake pads, etc) Appearance: Interior is alright. Seating is comfortable, lots of room for rear passangers, plenty of leg room for everyone. Exterior I love. Car looks really aggressive from the front. Lines all flow really well with each other. Cost of Ownership: Cheap. With gas at $4 a gallon, $45 fills it up. Top tier brake pads are $100 since I put em on. Stuff like oil, tires depends on brand, etc. But its cheap Fun Factor: The car's really fun to drive. Sporty, but not a kiddy car like a Civic, etc. Recommend: Some people, I'd say yes, some no. If you want power, no. Reliability, quality, appearance is what you're looking for, definitely recommend.

Nice — Brakes are more sensitive than I would like. I like the styling of it, but I do not like the wheel rim covers. I need custom rims and tinted windows. I have yet to have any problems with this car Primary Use: Commuting to work

Great — The car rides comfortably with great handeling. It has enough power to get up and go but not be dangerous. The gas milage is awesome at 24 in town and 32 highway. This is a very fun car to drive and ride in. Comfortable for 4 people and could hold a 5th. GREAT car

Xxxx — Great gas mileage and road performance. Great car on open road. The pinstripe makes it look sporty and makes us feel younger. It has the get up and go when we need it. Test drive one and you will like it. Wish they only still make them, but just a little bit bigger.

I Loved Driving It — This is my parents car, but i used to drive it. This particular model came with a I4 but it had very impressive performance. I got it to 102 on a local highway before having to slow down, but it could of easily reached much higher speeds. The interior is a little stark, but it has the essentials, and it is very comfortable, and fairly large. The color was alright (grey), but i would of perferred black.

'05 Dodge Stratus — Pretty good car. Get's pretty good gas mileage for a six cylinder. Only problem Ive had with it so far is the brake pad spring was difficult to put back on when changing the brake pads. Altogether though it is a good car. Primary Use: Commuting to work
