Pros

Comfortable, reliable, stylish. Handles well, accelerates and brakes well. No funny noises. Heater works very well and keeps the backseat passengers warm too.

Cons

Can't see how close I am to car behind me when parallel parking. Gets about 30 mpg on highway, not bad, but would be nice to get better gas mileage. Air conditioner works but doesn't get real cold.

I Liked My 1998 So Much That I Bought A 2005 When I Decided To Upgrade. — I have only had to do normal maintenance on this car. No major repairs. My only complaint is that I wish the cup holders were more conveniently placed and that there was a light in the cigarette lighter/power source area.

Cons

Raw Power

Stratus — Performance: Acceleration is average. Braking is middle of the pack, as SXT model has drum brakes, handles awesome with a rear sway bar and new springs/struts. Build Quality: Never needed any repairs/defects besides maintenance (oil changes, tires, brake pads, etc) Appearance: Interior is alright. Seating is comfortable, lots of room for rear passangers, plenty of leg room for everyone. Exterior I love. Car looks really aggressive from the front. Lines all flow really well with each other. Cost of Ownership: Cheap. With gas at $4 a gallon, $45 fills it up. Top tier brake pads are $100 since I put em on. Stuff like oil, tires depends on brand, etc. But its cheap Fun Factor: The car's really fun to drive. Sporty, but not a kiddy car like a Civic, etc. Recommend: Some people, I'd say yes, some no. If you want power, no. Reliability, quality, appearance is what you're looking for, definitely recommend.

Could use a bit more power

05 Dodge Stratus Sxt — This model can use a bit more horsepower for better acceleration but the handling is responsive and well built. If you want a faster sportier version go for the R/T. Still a nice car to drive around. Not very expensive to maintain just the usual oil change and tires. Gas mileage is pretty good, about 30 mpg on highway depending on how you drive it. This is the 2.7L not the 2.4L.

Its A Good Car To Drive For Some People , I Just Want A Faster Car — Performance- speed, handling Build- needs no wheel bearing and heater appearance- okay but needs fixed in the front cost of ownership- not bad , haven't needed to pay for it a lot fun factor- it is a very nice car to drive

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Really has nice get up & go! The steering/brakes & acceleration are all impressive. The safety features (automatic locks/rear safety doors/windows & full front airbags) give an extra feeling of security. Fuel efficiency is especially good on long trips. It has a roomy trunk & the split folding rear seat is handy. It's sporty looking, comfortable and fun to drive.

Cons

No heated driver's seat. No ashtray.

2005 Dodge Stratus Sxt - A Pleasure To Drive — This vehicle has been very reliable & has made it through several long road trips. I have been very pleased with the ride, the ease of driving and the sharp, sporty style. It is a favorite of the vehicles I have owned.

Cons

Nice — Brakes are more sensitive than I would like. I like the styling of it, but I do not like the wheel rim covers. I need custom rims and tinted windows. I have yet to have any problems with this car

Pretty good gas mileage

Cons

brake pad spring

'05 Dodge Stratus — Pretty good car. Get's pretty good gas mileage for a six cylinder. Only problem Ive had with it so far is the brake pad spring was difficult to put back on when changing the brake pads. Altogether though it is a good car.

Xxxx — Great gas mileage and road performance. Great car on open road. The pinstripe makes it look sporty and makes us feel younger. It has the get up and go when we need it. Test drive one and you will like it. Wish they only still make them, but just a little bit bigger.
