Not All Bad — Citroen 1.4HDi, heh don't knock it. Great value for money, £35 road tax per year and upwards of 45 miles to the gallon. Am surpised that not more of these babies are on the road to be honest. AFter the first year sure it rattled and chattered like grandma's badly fitted teeth but oh what fun to drive.....and think of the money that your saving............................. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

ProsFunky looks and fun to drive ConsBit impractical for passengers and lack of boot space!

Love It - Just Not Powerful Enough! — Funky looks, boot too small, and had to get the 1.1 Design as at the time couldn't afford insurance on any of the higher models!! Good for round town, not powerful enough for motorway or long journeys, and the back is too small if you're taller than 5foot!! Cheap tax & Ins Class 1, and low fuel costs. Love my little car, just wish I could have afforded a higher spec one!! Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Citroen C2 Vts — Speed - has got great acceleration from standing start and when you drop down a gear, lack of turbo means that if u put ur foot down in 3rd, 4th, 5th gear means the acceleration isn't so great. Handles very well and its pretty stable through the corners. Looks are quite good and modern. Fun factor is it's standing still acceleration and acceleration in the high rev ranges through corners. i would recommend the car to people with money looking to buy a cool fast first car |

Proseconomical Consnothing

C2 Vts — its cute; economical; just enuf for 2people &thats how i like it. its quite fast for its smallness The 1.6-litre engine goes up to 125bhp; the chassis has stiffer springs and dampers, thicker anti-roll bars and a more direct steering rack. The tyres are on slightly wider wheels than the VTR's, and they're a special sticky type. The five-speed manual box has close ratios to exploit the 7,200rpm redline. |

ProsHandling ConsNot really a lot of hp

Citroen C2 1.4i — Nice, small, and economical...The top speed in not so amazing, but the acceleration in lower gears is great. And it has really a lot if additional equipment like automatical AC, and a lot of other stuff.. it's really fun to drive, and i like it a lot! Citroen knows what they are doing! |

ProsCheap to ensure, fast, looks great, drives well, 4 star ncap rating, 16" alloys, fog lights, CD player, air con. ConsTacky interior.

A Little Pocket Rocket With Character! — A truly amazing little car. It cost just £12k from new, and could easily outpace any Saxo at stock. Not only that, but it carries looks that would make a Saxo want to commit suicide (thankfully). The 1.6i engine produces 125bhp, giving a 0-60 time of 8.3 seconds or lower once broken in. The car accelerates nicely after 3,000rpm in any gear, and carries on to a top speed of around 130mph. Ride comfort was somewhat suspect due to the stiffened sports suspension, but for people who like to be able to feel the road beneath them it was very satisfying. The steering on the C2 is pretty good, but the brakes are even better due to the fact they're vented discs. The interior of the car is the only let down, bumpy black plastic makes you feel more like your inside a kids toy than a car. |
