2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

Other than a new hood and grille, the Chevy Silverado 2500HD stayed pretty much the same for 2005.  This sturdy pickup has 38 trims from which to choose, giving new meaning to the phrase "freedom of choice."  All trims have a 6.0 L, 300 hp V8 powertrain with 4 speed automatic transmission, 5 speed manual, 5 speed automatic, or 6 speed manual, depending on which trim you choose.

Extended and Crew Cab trims have 4 doors and seat 5-6 while Regular Cab trims have 2 doors and seat 3.  With the trailering option, max towing capacity jumps up to anywhere from 15-16000 lbs. depending on the trim.  Looking for a little more variety in your powertrain?  You can choose the optional 6.6 L, 300 hp V8, the 6.6 L, 310 hp V8, and the 8.1 L, 330 hp V8.

Overall, drivers like the Silverado 2500HD's powertrain choices and impressive towing capacity.  On the other hand, this rugged domestic pickup could use better materials.  Consumers in the market for something extra strong should definitely look into the 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD.  With all those trims, you'll probably find the model that best fits your needs.
