Eh..its Loud And Fun And Gets Lots Of Looks — Engine needs a swap, could use a new paint job, although its not necessary. Windows could be retinted too. Maybe even a working radio would be nice! Stupid guys had to steal my $3000 sound system back in 08' haha. What ever, the truck will be restored soon!

Great Work Truck — Best Chevy I have ever owned and just about dead reliable. Great for hauling loads, people, never overheated even towing across the desert. Still looks good after 10 years. I recommend the 5.3 motor highly as it is based on the venerable 327.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros

Easy to Manuever. Relatively easy to Maintain. Good, reliable usage.

Cons

Not a lot of power, but that is to be expected out of this particular vehicle. Not very good fuel economy, considering it is smaller than most of the full size options.

Reliable, And Great Work Truck — This pickup doesn't feature a lot of "bells and whistles", but it does come with a good, long-life motor that is relatively easy to maintain and use. It is a great work truck, for light duty work. But if it is needed for anything more than light duty, then it is not going to be the best fit. Fuel economy was not great.

Pros

Drives like a champ. Very dependable car, easy to work on.

Cons

The half doors were suicide doors- always had to adjust them & eventually couldn't adjust any longer so the "leaked" air. Just a bench for passengers- not roomy for kids in car seats.

'ol Blue — Loved this truck. Hauled and towed many things. Very dependable, easy ride no engine troubles whatsoever. Would definitely buy again but without the half doors. I traded her in at 132000 miles and she has never let me down. I did basic maintenance and had a champ of a truck for a decade.

Pros

Been a great truck, but I took a job at a Ford dealership and am looking to get an F150..

Cons

Service air bag light just came on.  Someone predicted a corrodid contact on the front sensor.  Not sure how to fix this.

It's Great! Rides And Drives Great — I like this color. The seats are really comfortable. The back seat is big enough for a car seat for my grand kids. I would recomend this truck for anyone. For the money, it should last for a long time. The roll up cover is great when hauling things and the nerf bars make it easy to get in and out of. The 5.3 engine has plenty of power and goes down the highway very nice.

Good Work Vehicle, Lots Of Head Room And Leg Space. — I like when I have to hit the gas the truck gets up and moves without drinking a lot of gas. I love the truck it is just time to up grade. I will miss it but it will bee a great addition for someone else.

Great Work/hunting Truck!! — love my truck - it has been a great truck. I do everything with it. It is very reliable and a great ride. Would definitely by another one just like it. Only problem I have had is the speedometer quit working around 110,000 miles and you have to replace the who console to fix it.

Pros

it has an awesome a/c and it is very good on gas well that is for a truck

Cons

it is not a ford and wish it was a 4x4 and a v-8

Chevy 2005 Bought In 2005 With .25 Miles On It — love my truck but wish that it was a ford. It does get up and go but it isn't a v-8 which is what I want. I have never had it stuck and yes i have had it in the mud. it is a regular cab and that bugs me also.

Pros

LS engine, big front brakes, easy as hell to maintain, parts are cheap, decent highway mileage, fairly comfortable for long drives

Cons

Inconsistent assembly quality, infamous steering shaft clunk, lots of wheel hop, ancient transmission

A Big, Simple Machine For Big, Simple People Such As Myself — Plenty of grunt, excellent brakes even with rear drums, decent but wallowy handling from the factory. The 3.23 rearend means good mileage on the highway, but pokey acceleration around town, despite 335 lb/ft of torque. Torque management is heavy handed, and the 4 speed automatic sucks. Curb weight is not outrageous, but still 500 lbs heavier than my 1992 model. Despite all that, it will easily crank out mid-7 second 0-60 times and effortlessly hit the 99mph speed limiter. Aftermarket modifications can greatly enhance performance. I get about 17mpg around town and 21-22 on the highway. I've seen as high as 25mpg. Build quality is erratic, but it should hold together for a long, long time. The dash plastic is the hardest, most obnoxiously cheap material known to man. Tons of aftermarket parts available, bulletproof engine, and probably the last of the Chevy trucks recognizable as a "Chevy Truck" rather than an "Amorphous slab of sheetmetal".
