Pros

Power, Luxury, Classic American Badge

Cons

Interior finish, Transmission

2005 Cts-v — I love my car! It is the first car I have ever owned that didn't involve some kind of compromise. To the untrained eye it may look like a normal CTS, but it has the same powertrain as a Corvette. That means it has a 6.0 L LS 2 V8 that produces 400 BHP with a 6 speed manual transmission. If Thurston Howell III and Mad Max built a car, this would be it! Debbie Downer says: The Interior finish is short-sighted, with the black finish flaking off of the radio controls. GM added a computer chip to the transmission that forces you to shift from 1st to 4th under "normal" acceleration, in order to be compliant with Federal MPG mandate. It does not engage if you are accelerating hard of short shifting. You can replace the chip for about $20.00, but if you get caught you will likely forfeit any warranty protection.

Cons

It bons everytime you( take seatbelt off, turn the key, open the door) that gets every annoying.

Its An Old Persons Car With A Hammer Under The Bonit — Finally America has made a good all around car. Its fast, reliable, HANDLES WELL( FINALLY), practicale and fairly priced. I only drove it for about 10 min but I was very impressed. The only good Cadillac ever made. solid car, 400bhp v8 motor. 0-60 in 4.8 sec, 160mph top speed. just as fast as an Audi A6

Pros

Crisp handling, respectable ride quality, very strong brakes, distinctive styling, tolerable fuel economy, 400-horsepower

Cons

Expensive materials that look cheap, stiff ride makes for some rattles over rough roads, poor city fuel mileage.

Stick Out Like A Sore Thumb... — The worst part about own this car is sticking out. The best part about owning this car is sticking out :) In a world of BMWs and Audis this is a bargain. Mental acceleration, strong brakes, and distinctive styling, and all the amenities a luxury car should have, the worst part about owning this car is having to say, "I drive a Cadillac."

This Is A 4 Door Corvette — This 2005 CTS-V is nothing more than a 4 door Corvette. Straight-line acceleration is a real thrill and seat crusher and handling is remarkably good for a vehicle of this weight. I am selling to get a newer model (2009-2012) that has even more power.

Pros

Incredible power and acceleration.  Great looks and comfort.

Cons

This is not the easiest manual to drive.  There is so much torque in the first two gears that it can be a little jerky.  Cruise control is a little too sensitive.

A True American Muscle Car Wrapped In Luxury Styling. — This is the kind of car that most people don't see coming. Most people have zero idea just how powerful this Cadillac is and are very surprised when they see it accelerate past them. If you have ever wanted a sports car without sacrificing comfort and size, this is the car for you.

One Of My Best — well after owning a couple other fast cars this one is by far my favorite very fast, acceleration and top end but what do you expect with 405hp stk. the color isnt my favorite for this car but i got a good deal on it so i went for it and now i have no regrets

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cons

Caddy V — this car is cool because it is such a sleeper. most people dont know what the cts-v is. most dont expect a Z06 engine in a cadillac. when i first brought it to work (a gm dealer mind you) the old timers were all blown away that the car was a 6 speed. then they found out how fast it was and all tried to buy it from me.

Pros

400 horsepower, available only with a manual. Poseurs need not apply

Cons

Because this one is mine.

Killer Brakes, Killer Engine, Killer Trans With A Shifter Upgrade. — It's very fast, holds 5 people and gets acceptable mileage if I can keep my foot out of it. It has been totally reliable. The best thing is that it's stealthy. Few people know what it is. Most people think it a regular CTS...but it aint!

Pros

Crushing acceleration, sweet sleeper

Cons

Premium fuel, tires very costly

2005 Cts-v — It's faster than yours! Aggresive acceleration, fade free braking, sticks like flypaper. Room for 5 big trunk and can beat all but the most expensive supercars on the street. Takes premium fuel but it's so much fun I just don't care!

Loved It! — It was an awesomje car. Some problems with it but it was under warranty. The interior was extremely nice. This car was really fun to drive. Luckily I learned how to drive a stick shift. I absolutely loved this car.
