2005 Cadillac CTS-V Overview
Overall User Score
Based on 15 reviews
Not too much changed for Cadillac's extra-strength luxury sedan in 2005. The CTS-V has a 5.7 L, 400 hp V8 engine with 6 speed manual transmission. In addition, this vehicle has 4 doors, seats 5, and uses rear wheel drive.
Gas mileage comes out to 16 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway. Standard features include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power/leather seats, cd player, navigation system, traction control, and stability control. Sunroof comes as an option. Finally, the CTS-V gives you 111.3 cubic feet of passenger space, over 13 cubic feet more than the regular CTS.
Overall, the CTS-V gets props for its power passenger space. However, drivers consistently criticize the feature that lets you skip from first to fourth gear in order to save gas. In addition, interior materials could use some improvement and you won't get ABS brakes until the 2006 model year. Otherwise, industry observers believe the CTS-V can eventually compete with just about anyone in the competitive luxury sedan market.
