A luxury full-size sedan focuses on comfort, easy drive-ability, and smooth and steady ride. In its last year, the 2005 Park Avenue base offers all this to satisfied owners. The roomy sedan seats up to six passengers and has 19 cubic feet of trunk space, ensuring comfortable long car trips. It carries a 205-hp, 3.8-liter V6 and 4-speed automatic on 16-inch alloy wheels. Four-star crash ratings are earned by dual front-side airbags, 4-wheel ABS, and a self-leveling suspension. Adding onto the base, the 2005 Park Avenue Ultra includes heated seats, driver's memory settings, OnStar, heated mirrors, a garage opener, CD player, and wood trim. This is in addition to power front seats, leather and wood trim, leather upholstery, and wheel-mounted audio controls. Options add on a popular heads-up display, much appreciated rear parking sensors, a sunroof, and a CD changer. You can also get bucket seats to replace the front bench seat, reducing seating capacity to five passengers. Drivers say the supercharged V6 adds a lot of power and confident acceleration, and the overall ride is smooth, effortless, and very comfortable. Both interior and exterior look out-of-date, and the 2005 Park Avenue Ultra depreciates quickly in value.
