Ride In Style — Great Ride...lots of gadgets..could do better with a little more power....bose music system ROCKS. Maintenance is quite expensive, looking at approx $1000 for major 10000miles service..with minor works. Overall its worth every penny.. Acura is the Best

Fuel economy, but it's an SUV. High maintenance. Uses premium fuel.

Family Vehicle — We bought this vehicle used in 2011. It had around 48,000 miles on it. We have had to get numerous things fixed on it, which are the following: right rear door lock actuator, drive belt, rear shocks, one rubber muffler hoist, one heated seat light switch lamp, and an oxygen sensor. We didn't have a warranty since it was expired, so we had to pay out of pocket, but other than that, this vehicle has not stopped working and has gotten us from A to B every time. The key, as with anything: if you hear, see, or smell a problem, investigate and fix it yourself or get it fixed so the problem will not escalate into a bigger situation. We also drove this SUV to the Grand Canyon and other cities in Arizona, Sante Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico, Alabama to EL Paso, Texas 2 times, and Alabama to New York and back without any major problems, just a light on the dashboard saying routine maintenance due. Recently there was a recall on the ignition switch, so it was replaced for free by the dealership.

Great features are included like trip computer, XM, Dual Zone, DVD payer lots other. Safety rating is 5 star. Better then anyGarman car i would say.

Great look, tons of power, excellent quality, smooth handling, easy to find parts.

6th & 7th fold-up seats, gas mileage, cost of parts & maintenance.

Great Car With A Lot Of Power — This car has a ton of power for the size. Much more than I expected, hence the gas useage. I frequently get under 20mpg even on the freeway. The 6th & 7th rear fold-up seats are far too small for adults over 180lbs. It would be nice if they were a little farther back, which would sacrifice the trunk entirely but that is a choice I would like to make. Without the 6th & 7th rear seats in use, the trunk has enough space for a ton of luggage or other items. This car is very well built.

Cons

None really - great car!

Love The Acura Mdx! — Great family SUV, tons of goodies. Luxury without paying an arm and a leg! Gas mileage was just OK, but apart from that this is a great vehicle for our family - tons of "utility." Loved the DVD player to keep the kiddos occupied.

Great Car — I love how it handles and drives especially in the snow. Third row seat is great. Mpg is not bad at all. Road noise is better than Lexus. Only bad thing was my DVD went bad and I had to replace it

Great looking and I have everything I need for a Family Car...exept the fuel consumption...

Cons

My MDX burns too much fuel/ Trasmission Problems and Torque conv issues as well..

Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde — Its bright and shiny on the outside and completely unreliable on the inside. The transmission failed at 68000 miles and and it burns too much fuel... We use this car as our primary family vehicle - nothing strenuous or abusive. I am not sure I will buy another Acura again.... Thanks Ivan

Acura Mdx Rules — handles the back country like a true 4x4 and not a pricy knock off like Lexus and infinity. also tows like there is nothing there. interior is great and very spacious. handeling on the freeway is amazing and it really moves when you need to get on it.

Cons

gas mileage not great,  DVD screen small

Love This Suv! — I love my Acura MDX! It handles really good in Kansas snow! Plenty of space in the rear and trunk area. The third row seat is comfortable but not a lot of leg room for bigger people. I love having the DVD player for the kids but the screen is a little small. The only draw back is the fuel mileage for city driving. My mother-in-law bought the same car but a 2006 (no differences from 2005) and loves it too!
