Would Buy This Car Again With A 3rd Row Back Seat — liked the 40 mpg... liked the reliability... liked the cubic space... liked the environmentally friendliness... liked the handling... liked the technology disliked the space with 2 cars seats... disliked some of the standard equipment... disliked some of the steering components

Prius Not The Best Commuter Car. — Cost of ownership is good. Appearance is good. Gas mileage in the low to mid 30s for city driving. May not be that fun because it's smallish engine may be underpowered. Multi-info display was fixed on recall. Make sure to have a pest repeller in your garage or if rats, etc get in your engine compartment, they may bite into the electricals and wreck it. tehn you can't start. What it's cold, the battery may die and need charging.

First Car I Bought And I Loved It, But Need Something Bigger Now — I liked everything about this car from the cost to maintain it to the ease of getting my two children in and out of the car without hitting their heads on the too low roof, problem we have with my husbands car. We took it on several longer trips to see family and it was comfortable the whole way, even 7months pregnant. With the back seats able to fold down we've impressed quite a few people with just how much we can haul in our trunk. I wish they had a van like this but haven't found anything similar and with a growing family it's time to move on to something bigger.

Great Commuter Car — This is a decent car and a great commuter car. If gas mileage is what you are looking for this is the place to be, I get about 50 MPG on average. Performance wise this car leaves something to be desired and appearance wise it is not a very attractive car but that being said it is very reliable and a great gas saver

Good For Environment- So Thumbs Up For Me — Like it...but not much power when you do need it. It's a hybrid so that's a huge plus for gas mileage as well as the environment. I'd buy it again. It's been a good car. Thumbs up rating in my book

To Drive A Prius Is To Love A Prius — Test drive one and you'll know! But I speak from experience, mine has 117,000 miles on it and I've NEVER had to put in in the shop and I can't say the same thing about ANY other car I've ever owned!

Love My Prius! — I LOVE MY PRIUS! I will be getting another one in 2010 for a weekend car. Performance: Handles great. I drive it like a sports car. Build Quality: Great! I have 135,000 miles on the odometer! Appearance: Would love a sunroof. Cost of Ownership: Gets awesome gas mileage (avg. 48 mpg), routine maintenance (oil changes) Fun Factor: FUN! FAST!

Pros

40 mpg, spacious,

Cons

no power AT ALL, looks, and everyone in P.A. has one for christs sake

Yes, It's A Prius, But 40 Mpg Is Kinda Ballin. — The Prius is not exactly well made, making it have a kinda cheap feel to it. I am talking about the base version, not with a luxuary package, which you can get. Those are a little better. Yet, there is no other car that can get 40 mpg. Another downside: hella blindspots

Pros

Good gas mileage, typical Japanese reliability, easy to park and drive in traffic.

Cons

Uncomfortable interior, woeful performance, bad driving position, touchy controlls,  rediculous gearbox

2004 Toyota Prius — The performance is poor, and the brakes are way too touchy. One consolation is that it handles fairly well. But the compromise is that the ride is a bit too firm for a family saloon car. The "Variable Transmission" is a stupid invention, and is easily one of the worst parts of the car. I think in an effort to save weight, Toyota have sacrificed all of its know-how on design, and made the interior out of pretty poor materials. Exterior styling is pretty bold, but I don't fancy it. The computer has needed some fixing, but otherwise, the Prius is typical Toyota reliability. Gas mileage is about 45 city. With is much less than Toyota promise when you buy it. Maintenance is easy and cheap, and Toyota customer service is excellent. Fun Factor: 2/10

MILEAGE!!!

Cons

Japanese seats are not made for American butts.  Uncomfortable.

Best Investment! — Gets 40-50 mpg, plenty of space in back for storage. Took quite awhile to break in totally to get closer to 50mpg. GPS is a bit quirky, 2004 model didn't have MP3 player as part of CD.
