Purchase A Two Year Old Used To Avoid Taxes And Depreciation Cost - Worth The Investment — Excellent in areas of reliability - car never failed in 7 years now with 148k. Only one major repair on the engine at about 75k, which Toyota ate more than 25% of the cost. Car is clean, comfortable and well built. I do most of my own repairs, so from the inside out I have found the quality of workmanship and design is impressive for the price range of the car purchased new. I have been very satisfied. But I would love to compare it to some of the German and Scandanavian cars. Who knows.

Rev O 04 — its practical, economical, classy and you can have 10 passengers sitting comfortably.... the 2L turbo diesel engine is strong and can overtake with ease....can corner well because of upgraded dobinson suspension rolling with 18's rim wrap with dunlop low profile tires....not getting bored with jvc dvd player and 2 pcs. 4 channel alpine amps, 4 pcs mb quart coxial front and rear speakers and sony 12in sub woofers...

Pros

Toyota makes another Winner

Cons

That it grows old without style

Another Great Toyota Winner.... — Purchased for economy in an SUV. Good steady economy. Very Good power in the 330hp V6. Performance in acceleration, braking and handling in a medium large SUV I believe is not comparied too. Extremely well built for a vehicle. Appearance is excellent inside and was as good as it got in 2004 on the Outside. It can be a good work vehicle, and fine Family car, good for taking long trips, it really is asolid and fun vehicle.

Pros

good car to drive all your friends in, decently handsom and good on gas.

Cons

cars traction control could be more helpful than simply turning off power

Toyota Highlander — Acceleration is ok, but hesitates causing a downshift lunge. breaks are ok unless driving past uic. no repairs needed (unless crashed). appearance is good. too safe to be fun. handling is one of its best features with a good turn radius. suspension on all versions could be a little firmer.

Pros

Car is spacious and comfortable. I love the seat heater.

Cons

Cruise control accelerates and causes car speed to shoot over the setting. Interior carpets are impossible to clean. My previous toyota had grey interior and it barely showed the dirt. The beige has looked disgusting from the first month I owned the car.

I Generally Like The Car. — Would probably buy the new RAV 4. Price was not the best deal for the vehicle. My mistake.

Plenty Of Get Up And Go — Never thought about a Toyota until my son bought his Tundra. After riding in it I started paying more attention to the different models. The Highlander fits the bill for me as I have 3 large dogs and need room to take them to the vet, groomers etc. I have plenty of room for them and the comfort and nice ride for myself. Now I have no problem of deciding if I can go to the mountains during the winter months as with the AWD it's not a problem.

Wonderfully Practical Car — my brother owns this car and I've driven it a few times. He's had the car for a few years and has had absolutely no problems at all. It is a very dependable car. The nice thing about this car is it is a small SUV - not some boxy beast. That said it is pretty roomy inside and can handle a fair amount of stuff in the trunk area.
