The Quintessence Of The Practical Everyday/all Year Round Stop-and-go Traffic Eater — Corolla keeps being the quintessence of the everlasting, trouble-free, almost maintenance-free always-enduring passenger vehicle. It's practical, economical and dependable. It's also boring and monotonous to drive, even though the 1.8 liter 130hp engine it equips makes sort of a bid for "some" driving excitement or at least, for prevent me from falling asleep while driving. Acceleration is pretty good, whle cornering and handling are average in the best of cases. Interior space is just enough -rear passengers won't complain- trunk capacity is average and materials & building quality is above average, but not expect european-level finish. Overall, this car does exceptionally well the job that has build Toyota's reputation for bullet-proof reliability over the years: every time i turn the ignition on, it works. Always. No complains.

Good Handling (with Good Tires Installed) Great Mpg's, Fun To Drive. — I think this car looks like a space ship. Other than that, the gas mileage... HOLY CRAP!! About $25 to fill it at 2.50/gal and you go at least 400 miles per tank.... so damn near 40 miles to gallon..highway, and it's not even a hybrid! Not a car for the tall one's though. I am 5'8" and my wife is 5'6" and with the car seat in the back, my knees are close to the dash, but still comfy though. could use a little more leg room in front. accelerates and brakes great. Current tires suck on wet roads though. owned a little over a year and 1/2, no maint. needed yet! has the 5 speed tranny, so it's fun to drive!! no cruise though, so not so much fun on road trips! great car all around

Great Value For The Money. — I love everything about this car. It runs like a charm. It has a great heater and air conditioner and the seats are comfortable. Reliability and Toyota reputation makes this car the best value on the road. 90% of Corollas built since 1990 are still running.

Cons

My Corolla — Solid build, great gas mileage, cheap to maintain, very comfortable on long drives, lots of trunk space. Not enough horsepower then again what do you expect from a corolla ;) With manual transmission and only one passenger car can accelerate ok. Very practical car.

Ok But Bland — The fuel economy was actually really good. it was a little cramped in leg room, but other then that it was quiet and comfortable. the looks were nothing to get excited about but thats toyota for you. it was the ultimate 'blend in' car. almost invisible. not bad if you are trying to get away with something i suppose (not that i would *g*). performance was only ok, but its not meant for that is it? id certainly consider another newer version.

My Corolla S Is Awesome! — I love the looks, the gas mileage, the reliability, how comfortable it is to drive. You cant beat the gas mileage and how well it drives for being a 4 cylinder car. I am always comfortable taking my children in my car because it feels safe and is easily accessible.

Excellent Value For Money — I bought this 6 years back and have absolutely no issues... I have done minimal maintenance and the car still looks almost as good as new. My kids love the car and my wife loves the ease of manouverability. Best 1st car to have.

Economy — Great economy but small for a family of 4. A bit cramped on seating, and front seats could be more comfortable. Trunk fits golf clubs, strollers, etc.... No large TVs (ie 37" or <) I average 36mpg combined. I have achieved over 40mpg all highway, no mountains.
