Thumbs Up — Hello this reanault I own (1.9dci dynamique) is a good car for a good price, and it is very economical but still got some power on the pedal. The extras are great, very comfortable, spacey, good handling, ideal right height, and fun to drive.

Exterior styling

Total cost of ownership because of expensive repairs

Good Friend — Quite nice car, very good exterior stylifg, still looks fresh. Electronics is not very high quality (keyless entrance senssors, pfffff), expensive car repairs (cluth, engine) in diesel version. In terms of performance - it is just small hatchback, 120bhp in diesel is quite enough (< 9s to 100km/h, 7l ON/100km).

Pros

Handling/Performance

Cons

Build quality not the best in the sector...

It Brings A Smile To My Face When I Drive It — Performance is excellent - it has an induction kit & KTR exhaust system. Build quality is fair/good with the odd squeak & rattle here & there. I love the look of the car & think the design really works. Interior styling also very good. Road tax is high being £245/year & insurance is not too bad..Maintenance average costs. This is definitely a fun car to drive! :0)

Pros

Nothing much to love about this car.

Cons

Hate that its boring.

Boring. — Renault Megane Sedan 1.6 Petrol Auto Nothing special about the car. Just a normal family saloon, comfort is better than a standard corolla; Power, handling and fuel economy all average. Looks are like it or love it. Drives ok. Reliable, but maintenance cost can b quite costly once it ages. Parts are not too cheap.

Pros

well specced

Cons

poor reliability

Good Car Gone Bad — Very decent car pity about the poor reliability and the very expensive replacement parts. Would have been a worthy rival to the VW Golf if it was built properly. But when everything worked it was a great car. Pity I cant recommend it

Pros

Cabriolet, good looking car, very good in case of accident

Cons

If the back end is damaged, or if you see that the top doesn't allign perfect with the windshield, avoid it.

Perfect All Arounder — It was a really good car, I am very sorry that I sold it. It had a 2 litre engine natural aspirated, it's a very good engine coupled with a 6 speed gearbox, which is perfect for city commuting and highway speeds. Max speed attained 230kph on GPS. It has a metal folding top which means it's perfect for harsh winters and hot summers. The heating is absolutely brilliant. I was driving with the top down in winter at -6 degrees C in shorts and a T-shirt. It has lots of trunk space, and it's a 5 star NCAp crash test. It was almost perfect. My advice is go for the 2 litre turbocharged petrol engine, which came out from the Megane RS, or the 2 litre turbocharged common rail diesel, I'm not very fond of the diesel because it's kindda weird to have a tractor engine under the bonnet of a cabriolet. I hope my review was kind of compeling. I gave 4 marks out of 5 for it because the engine is rather thirsty, in city it eats about 15 MPG(US gallons), and highway was a very reasonable 27 MPG. From the point of view of build quality it was ok, try to avoid Megane's which are not made in France. It's the most fun car to drive, although it feel's a little bit wobelly when you have the top down. The cars traction control and electronic stability program is absolutely stupid proof, you can disengage it to do a massive FWD burnout :)), but it automatically comes back on above 60kph.

The Best Driving Feeling For A Small Car — I have the car for more than 3 years, nothing has gone wrong, highway driving is great, but performance is not found well thats the negative part of the high gas mileage. the car is a real fun to own.
