Prosquiet interior, good sound system, strong engine Consbrakes and wheels quality, engine gaskets

My Alero — This is a good 4-door sedan for getting kids to and from school or commuting. The six-cyl engine has good performance, gas mileage, and the interior is comfortable. But there have been several unusual repairs for the first 100K miles; including intake manifold gasket (Dexcool corrosion), front wheel bearings, brake rotors, brake calipers, trailing arm linkage gasket. However I got a good deal on it when they were getting rid of the Oldsmobiles, so I can rationalize the repairs.

Proslook, power and style, very practial. Conshard on gas in city, known for sensors going bad in the hub assembly.

Sporty Look, Drive, Lots Of Power And Pick Up. — I have the 04 model with the Aluminum and rims and the 50 series Goodyear tires. 3400 v6 engine with lots of pick up. Burgundy in color with rear deck spoiler. Very sleek look nice lines. Car is hard on gas in around the town and city but highway driving the car is great on gas.

It Goes And Sucks All At Once — Not a very good starter car if you need good gas mileage, barely get 13mpg in the city with the 3.4 V6 horrible tranny as well. I have more room in a 06 VW Jetta TDI. If you do get the car, the suspension in the back is very soft, and the automatic transmition is sealed so there is no dipstick, keep an eye on your millage. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

04 Alero Gl1 3400 Sfi V6 — good car, my specific car has been very reliable, but i know that a lot of alero owners have troubles with reliability. the only repair that my car has needed has been the infamous LIMG leak (lower intake manifold gasket) - it leaks coolant into the oil, on to the block, everywhere.. just a big mess.
