2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V Review
Proshandling and acceleration Consnothing really

2004 Spec V Review — The Sentra SE-R Spec V is a great performance 4 door. Has an option to get brembo breaks, sunroof, and rockford fosgate stereo system. The car is built to take corners and turns very well, great acceleration. The appearence is a nice clash between sporty and evey day driver. This car gets really good gas mileage around 28 in town and 30 highway. the fun factor of this car is 10 out of 10

ProsGood performance for cheap, fun to drive, not over done, some great colors to choose from ConsA little cheap on the interior with the plastics but not too bad, no space for an adult in the back seat

Spec V — It's a surprisingly quick little sedan with the six speed and 2.5. It handles like its on rails but isn't too stiff to be comfortable. It seems to be pretty solidly built, but does make extensive use of plastic in the interior. I think it's a pretty good looking little car, and so do most people I come into contact with. It is an economy car, although not as much as, say, a Prius. It gets around thirty miles per gallon and I have had no maintenance issues so far, and I've had it for over a year. It is a fun little car to drive. Its small, light, and very nimble in the curves, plus the six speed makes it feel much faster than it really is. But be warned, you will speed EASILY in this car because it pulls pretty good even in top gear. Over all, a fun car to drive that actually isn't over the top boy racer looking and gets good milage with minimal maintenance.

Good Car For A Small Price — It was a fun little car to drive and the build quality is much better than the newer B16 sentras(Not as much easily scratch able plastics inside)... it accelerated pretty good for a small car and was pretty good on gas... only problem i ever had with it was the air flow computer went out a block away from school and i had to replace that... ProsGreat suspension (thus pretty good ride) contrary to the preconceived notion that nissan's waterloo is the suspension. Mine's 5 years old but i've never had to change any of my suspensions, tierods, bushings, racks, etcetera while being on 17" rims, 205/40/17 tires, driving around CDO, Northern Negros, Cebu, Bulacan, Pampanga, and GMA with the countless potholes along Edsa. A/C is terrific as usual and gas consumption is pretty good since i can get to Quezon City and back (i live in Paranaque) twice from when the warning light goes on! ConsThey have to redesign the brake caliper. Although thisis not defective, it is very much of a design flaw since the caliper pins are a bit small for the holes in the brake caliper. Solution is to grease the caliper pin housing once a quarter and that solves it. I drive the 1.3 GX model and the body's just a bit too heavy for the engine when going up inclines with a full load of 5 passengers but if it's just you and your friend, It's can go up those inclines quite well.

A Good Car To Have If You're On A Budget. Styling Is Very Nice And Clean. A Good Option To Consider. — It's a generally good car to have. Suspension is great and offers a pretty smooth ride for an entry level car. Price is fair and maintenance is also relatively affordable if you source from the right places. They should maybe lose the 1.3 engine and begin at 1.6 to really let this animal loose. Response is quite nice. Turning radius is also good. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsEverything ConsYou will want to speed when driving this car

Spec V Wins Audience — the spec v is a sport compact lovers dream car. it has awsome performace in all ranges. the handeling of this car stock is nothing short of excellent. This car also has a great sleek look, yet wont have cops following you for miles waiting for you to speed. This car is a fun car to drive. the sound that this engine puts out when the secondary intake runners open up is phenomanal. if i were to rate this car i would rate it a 9/10. no other car can give you all this for this good price.

ProsExceptional reliability and fuel economy. ConsSmall back seats. Limited power.

The Good, The Bad, No Ugly — With only 220,000 miles and only the miniscule amount spent on a belt replacement, brakes (once, at 170,000), three sets or tires and lots of gas, this car keeps on chugging. I'm looking for a slight upgrade, but will most likely stick with a Nissan Sentra again. Why change now? Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsThe suspension and brake upgrade definitively give it the edge on the track. ConsMy only complaint is that I wish it had more power.

Nissan Sentra Se-r Spec V — Performance is great on the track. Car handles extremely well and braking is outstanding. Car is very well built. Have never left me on the side of the road or given me any major problems. I will say that I love driving this car whether it be on the track or around town. Definitively a fun car. Cute Little Money/gas Saver! — I got this car for my 16th birthday and this little black Sentra has been very faithful and reliable to me. I have been very happy with the gas prices and mpg this car gets. The only reason I am wanting to sell this car is because I am graduating this year and i want to buy a new car for my graduation present to myself. I'm telling you, you will also be very impressed and pleased with this car's gas mileage. Primary Use: Commuting to work
