Pros

What I like about my/this car is that for being a 1.997cc engine, it's not bad but it is far from the best that it can be.

Cons

Not a manual or a CVT transmission, not all wheel drive and it's not turbo charged.

Not Bad At All For A Basic Everyday Car — Like I said in my pros and cons, it's not AWD, Turbo charged or a manual/CVT transmission but for a little more than beyond basic car it's not bad at all. I have a ton of ideas and modifications that I want to do to it. I would do whatever mod that I can do to it on my own even though car shops do guarantee quality work, it's just a personal preference.

Lancer Ralliart 2.4l Review — This car is quick with the 2.4L MIVEC power plant. The FWD isn't the greatest, there ia a little torque steer on hard take offs, but not enough for very many people to notice. A LSD would go nicely up there. The handling around back road twists is very neutral. There are some curves that i was afraid to take the Z around at any sort of speed, those are the curves where the Lancer shines. This is a great performing car. The interior is pretty basic, one complaint is the lack of a map light, but it's no big deal. I have gotten around 23-24 MPG with mixed driving

Pros

The response and suspension

Cons

No spoiler (yet) and could use some higher end performance

Quick, Nimble And Fun — Car has quick response even as being stock (mine has an exhaust system, cold air intake and a performance module). Also has amazing suspension as the base model: ES (can really powerslide great!) Appearance just looks simple but great.

zippy, economical

Cons

bit on the small side for my large dog

I Love My Car — i love my car, its great for running around town, its so fun to drive, servicing is cheap, goes pretty good for a 4 cylinder car, it handles pretty good on the road and they sell cheap, the auto is easier to drive than the manual, but boring on long trips

Fun To Drive — Ive had two lancers, a 2003 which got wrecked, and a 2004. Liked them both. The 2004 more so it was a different edition more power better handling, better styling. For a four cyl. it ran good and still got 32 mpg. Gotta have a 5 speed in this car the automatic is boring. Put it through some rough time and it held up great. I didnt put brakes on it until 90k miles and did the timing belt also, other than that i just changed the oil. I liked having four doors and still had a bit a performace. Great car to own I would def. buy another.

Fun, Sporty, Gas Efficient, Economy Car — This car has lots of zoom power and because of it compactness can zip in and out of traffic well. The seating is a bit boxy, but for the price this is a good basic car to own. Gas mileage is good - average about 28MPG city and Highway. Stats reveals that this is a low cost maintenance car.

Amazing Car — I bought this car in 2008 at 40000 miles. When I bought it I had planned to test a few cars first but once I got in it and drove it I fell in love. Often that turns out to be a mistake but not with this car. It's parts can be hard to find sometimes but it doesn't break down easily. I will tell you one more thing if you see one of these running down the road don't underestimate it they are quick.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Love It :) — I love everything about this car. It's my first Mitsubishi and I'm hooked. It may not have leather seats, heated seats, or dual climate control but I wouldn't trade it for anything(except a newer ralliart or evo of course).
