ProsQuick, Agile, Neutral Handler ConsGas mileage could be better, small gas tank(13.2)

4 Cyl, 4 Door, Fwd, Wow — This car is great, It's almost time for the first oil change since I have had it and it hasn't gotten old yet. This car is quick with the 2.4L MIVEC powerplant. The FWD isn't the greatest, there ia a little torque steer on hard take offs, but not enough for very many people to notice. A LSD would go nicely up there. The handling around backroad twisties is very neutral. There are some curves that i was afraid to take the Z around at any sort of speed, those are the curves where the Lancer shines. This is a great performaing car. The interior is pretty basic, one complaint is the lack of a map light, but it's no big deal. Fuel Economy isn't the greatest, especially is you have a lead foot. The MIVEC kicks in a 3500RPM and will suck gas like no other past that point. I have gotten around 23-24 MPG with mixed driving.

04 Ralli Art — This is my gorgeous 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralli Art. It has a 2.4L Mivec 4cyl. I have installed a injen cold air intake and a vibrant cat-back exhaust system. It also has an evo 8 spoiler and a front strut bar. Best car i have ever owned, and the most fun to drive. Great for drifting.

Proseasy to work on, smartly engineered Consshort first gear, wide turning radius, its not an evo :D

Great Reliable And Fun Car — The build quailty is excellent, its a solid in line four cylinder so its easy to work on - the engineering is smart and takes in consideration that someone will have to fix it at some point. easy to upgrade & modify. Handles pretty good, but has a wide turning radius. The gearbox is very good - not fantastic but its pretty responsive.

Pros137,000 miles and still going strong and fun to drive Consnothing. it is what it is. its no bottom line lancer but its no evo either.

Love It :) — I love everything about this car. It's my first Mitsubishi and I'm hooked. It may not have leather seats, heated seats, or dual climate control but I wouldn't trade it for anything(except a newer ralliart or evo of course). Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsGood basic sport car with a low price tag. ConsIf you don't like manual transmission driving

Fun, Sporty, Gas Efficient, Economy Car — This car has lots of zoom power and because of it compactness can zip in and out of traffic well. The seating is a bit boxy, but for the price this is a good basic car to own. Gas mileage is good - average about 28MPG city and Highway. Stats reveals that this is a low cost maintenance car.

Prosdecent power, amazing suspension, cornering and braking. Consneeds to be more well tuned, and 130 mph is just way to low of a speed for this car. it could easily handle 140-145 mph. the car barely even hits 5,500 rpms when the needle is burried
45
04 Ralliart — The car handles very well, power needs to be tuned up to around 200 hp/tq. car also need to be dohc instead of sohc. Its very light at 2850, i bought mine for 16,500 brand new with 20 miles on it. the short throw shifter is amazing. You cannot get a better priced car in its class.

Prospeppy motor, good looking, good gas mileage, 4 doors Consride quailty, interior comfort

Fun To Drive — Ive had two lancers, a 2003 which got wrecked, and a 2004. Liked them both. The 2004 more so it was a different edition more power better handling, better styling. For a four cyl. it ran good and still got 32 mpg. Gotta have a 5 speed in this car the automatic is boring. Put it through some rough time and it held up great. I didnt put brakes on it until 90k miles and did the timing belt also, other than that i just changed the oil. I liked having four doors and still had a bit a performace. Great car to own I would def. buy another. Primary Use: Commuting to work |
