An All Weather Beast......that Needs Pampering....from Time To Time — Of the 3 SUV'S I've owned ( 88 mits montero 2dr & 98 merc mountaineer) ...this one wins hands down....a smooth riding ,powerful, sure footed beast in any weather...with automatic everything.(brakes, pedals, lights ,seats)..gps....not bad for an 04.....if I didn't still have a factory warranty ...I wouldn't have been able to afford to keep it

Great Car — I have owned 2 Jeep Grand Cherokees and they have been great cars. They are fun to drive and very reliable. They utilize the legendary Jeep straight 6 engine which is bullet proof. No regrets with the care at all.

Great Car — Jeep is synonymous with off-roading and this was plenty capable although it would have been nice to be able to engage 4WD on the fly. Overall, I loved the Overland package which provide all the bells and whistles. I would definitely own another Jeep GC if I didn't have to commute.

Its' A Great Used Vehicle, You Can Get A Decent One For Little Money. — Jeep GCs are tough vehicles. I bought mine in 2012 with 127K miles for $5900. I now have 210K miles on it and it still runs strong. It has annoying things like the brakes pulse from hot spots on the rotors, and in town mpg is terrible. All in all its a safe vehicle, sturdy and reliable. I will buy another when I hit 300K.

Pros

Handles well in rain and snow, thanks to michelin tires I don't slide around. I love black Jeep Grand Cherokee's and the V8 power is a plus for those parkway ramps that are too short.

Cons

This is my second Jeep Grand Cherokee and at 216,000 it drives the same as when it had 10,000 miles on it, no real cons I can come up with.  Keeping up on oil changes regularly, brake pads, air and oil filters I haven't had to pay more than $400 in the repair shop for minor fixes on both of my cherokees.

Low Cost, Reliable. — The pros and cons column above has pretty much sumed up how I feel about the Jeep Grand Cherokee, its a great ride that handles smooth and is meant to handle rough terrain too if your looking for an offroading vehicle.

Dependable 4x4 — Great handling, small turn radius so can turn fast and quick. Brake work great, 4 wheel drive works great, can crawl out of any off road situation. Has a in-line 6 which has more torque, just a little different running than a standard v-6. Very dependable.

Old Reliable — Very comfortable and easy to drive, pulls through all kinds of inclement weather, durable, can load it up with alot of people and things. Always starts up and is ready to tackle the days challenges on smooth or rough pavement.

Would Absolutely Buy Another! — Safe, economical, comfortable vehicle. Excellent in all weather, spacious cargo area and convenient interior. Performs great, it's a no-nonsense vehicle great for family transportation to school, work, etc. as well as long road trips, state to state. Have loved this car!!

Pros

Styling, build quality, on- and off-road performance in all weather, comfort for tall people.

Cons

Jeeps all have their own little quirks; this one is no different.  It's part of the Jeep thing.  The 4.0 motor is bulletproof, and perfectly fine for hauling just the Grand Cherokee around, but with a trailer, owners may find themselves wishing for the V8.

Great All-around Suv — With the Selec-Trac transfer case behind Jeep's tried-and-true 4.0 six-cylinder engine, this is a reliable and extremely capable vehicle. More roomy and comfortable than the previous generation, it's perfect for someone who needs to get to the back forty one weekend, then haul a family of four the next.

Rugged With Room — I like my Jeep. But it now has about 17k miles. So, I plan to give it to my son for college. It will be a reliable car for him to drive back and forth to college. But it gets about 16th in town with a large v8.
