Great Car — Jeep is synonymous with off-roading and this was plenty capable although it would have been nice to be able to engage 4WD on the fly. Overall, I loved the Overland package which provide all the bells and whistles. I would definitely own another Jeep GC if I didn't have to commute.

Rugged With Room — I like my Jeep. But it now has about 17k miles. So, I plan to give it to my son for college. It will be a reliable car for him to drive back and forth to college. But it gets about 16th in town with a large v8.

Sweet Ride — I loved how comfortable the seats are and the HUGE sunroof/moonroof for sunny days. You can fit SO much stuff in the trunk and the seats fold down making it awesome for picking up treasures on craigslist without having to borrow a friends car. The paint job looks amazing, especially in this color (metallic grey), it looks like a brand new car anytime I get a car wash. The color also hides dirt well if its dirty! :)

Maintenance cost is average at best.  Gas cost for V8 costs more.

Not For Sale. My Backup Vehicle. — Last model year before Chrysler merged with Daimler-Benz. In 2005, Jeep Grand Cherokee was revised. It became more boxy. The 2004 had more attractive body styling. Acceleration, braking are both good. Handling, the SUV handles like a truck, soaking up bumps, but with some lean and sway.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Love It, Will Def Pruchase Another Gc — One of the bet sport-ute's out there, I know some of the modles have had problems (tail lights, transmission, etc) but this one has been a gem. I have 234,000 miles on it and will keep it until they tear it from my key chain.

Pros

The Jeep is very reliable, and has overall low maintenance issues.  Many aftermarket OEM replacement parts are available and keeps maintenance cost low.  The 4X4 is excellent when hauling a boat, trailer, or keeping control in heavy rain or snow.  The inline 3.0 6 cylinder engine is as tough as engines get, and will outlast anything made.

Cons

Fuel economy is not a strong point, but with that being said, it really is one of the only cons I can list.

Strong, Solid, Dependible — Overall, It's an excellent vehicle that will never let you down. It isn't a performance sedan, but can outlast one in the long haul, and with more confidence. I also feel safer in a vehicle with a higher profile such as the Jeep. Finally, it's classic style makes for a ride you can feel proud to drive and own.

Perfect for summers on the beach, and winters in the snow. Look is sleek and clean. Very comfortable and roomy. A lot of fun to drive!

Cons

Honestly there were no cons of owning this car, the mileage for a V8 was very fair, the acceleration is outstanding. Overall very high feelings of safety and control inside this Jeep.

Loved This Jeep — I personally loved everything about this car. It was 100% reliable the entire time I owned the car. Jeeps are perfect cars for the crazy ever changing weather we have here in Mass. Getting anywhere this winter was a piece of cake. Super comfortable for long rides. Great family or teens first car.
