Cons

ABS is not all that great.... but still you can go for it...

Keep It You Will Love It And You Ill Never Give Up On It.... — Power is superb, but interior is bit cheap compared to Honda but better than Suzuki.. other than that everything is wow in this car.... that is why i am still hanging with it and oh yeah it has Hi-performance Hurricane filter in it..

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Cheap to run and insure, has loads of load-in space for carrying stuff

Cons

Wasn't first in the queue when performance and looks were handed out

85

Cheap Day-to-day Runner — Not the best car I have ever owned, but it gets me from A to B. I have only bought this car due to the fact that petrol prices are high and I need a car that is frugal and doesn't cost much to run. This ticks both of them boxes, so I'm happy! It is currently giving me close to 40 mpg combined, which twinned with low emissions puts it in a low group for tax. It's cheap to insure too! I also use this car to carry amps, speakers, equipment for me and my band, and there is a lot of boot space, and even more if you fold down the seats!! I also carry camping gear, so I am very pleased with it's capacity in that respect. Overall I would recommend this car to anyone who wants a car that is cheap to run and can carry large loads, who doesn't mind losing out on performance and looks. If performance and looks are your thing, then this isn't your cup of tea at all!

Pros

Good on fuel

Cons

Not enough power

'04 Hyundai Accent. Modified — Performance is not a bad as it was when I first got it. A few mild mods have been done. Custom cold air intake, exhaust and a massive sound system. 500 kms to a tank, so its still pritty good on fuel. Fun to drive in the rain, nice side ways action for a front wheel drive.

Pros

lots of room, good gas mileage

Cons

mostly just that AutoMax sucks - i'd never buy a car from them again

35

Not A Bad Car — My car has lots of room, and lots of cool features I've never seen in other cars. You can leave the headlights on and they auto turn off. Car can be a little sluggish on acceleration but has lots of low-end torque. I've been able to replace headlights and install a stereo system easily and without a user manual. Room wise, I go to college and I can fit my entire drumset, a Katy, a dog, and a weeks worth of clothes in the car and still be able to drive comfortably. The only thing I would change is to have a hatchback. AutoMax sucks though. Don't buy cars there.

Its Nothing Special — Typical Hyundai quality, very basic car, at least its a manual, paint is of decent quality, seats get uncomfortable after a while, parts are reasonably priced, hatch has an okay amount of space, its just an a to b car

Its a great first car. Get's you to point A-point B without any flash.

Cons

No antilock breaking system as an option...could use more saftey features.

Ehh, It Was My First Car. Deffinatly Helped Me Make The Decision To Not Get Another Hyundai. — Um, ya. It's a hyundai, before they switched to being primarily USA parts. Acceleration is Horrible, especially when the AC is on. The braking is fine and handling is great. As for build, it does okay. There is a shake that I cant seem to fix. The interior is a little bland, I have sports cloth and that just means you get charcoal coloring and confetti thrown on it. Gas mileage, I get 300miles to the tank...and it costs around 28 dollars to fill it. Maintenance, I was fine until I hit 50,000 miles. Things just seem to go wrong. This car has also been in a couple of accidents. Held up well however the airbags never deployed. Its a fun FIRST car to drive.

Pros

Affordable, Gas economy, back seat folds down accessable by hatch back, to make a large space.

Cons

Space is small, your passenger my end up hitting his/her head on rear view mirror when getting in and out of car.

Hyundai Accent Review. — Just enough pick up and go to get you into traffic. Although, the AC uses up quite a bit of juice when on, car is slower to respond. Gas economy. I prefer this accent 2004, better than the 2001 I had purchased earlier. The 2001 Accent was totalled in a 5 car pile up. I was rear ended by a range rover, and pushed into a VW. I was just a little shook up with minor wip lash and totalled the car due to the frame was bent up in the rear from the range rover. Incidently, I learned a good lesson, when possible get the insurance that will pay off most of the balance of the automobile if it is totalled. I purchased it at the dealerhsip. Another plus, is this vehicle is affordable, gas economy, so far so good at 60,000 miles. Ask me how the performance is after 100,000 when that warranty is up.
