ProsA success that should have been continued... ConsFuel economy slightly low,but not really bad for what it is...that's about it.

A Super Sports Utility That Fell Through The Economy Crax — Well, where do i start? This XUV (Extra utility vehicle), is straight up the most option equipped vehicle i have ever seen...I have only owned it for about a month or so,but everytime i drive it i find some other feature i didn't know it had. From the four wheel all wheel drive drivetrain to the built in air compressor and hose kit,to the retractable roof and so many options in between, this is one cool car/truck/luxury/camper.rv thingamajig i have ever driven. I have the optional tent attachment for camping and am in the process of finding and buying some more options my particular one didn't have when i got it. You can close off the very back section by use of the midgate window for hauling anything from trash to bags of top-soil for the yard. Seriously this is a masterpiece in engineering and features. A great idea from GMC,and an all purpose vehicle built for fun and /or work and anything in between. Mine has the 4.2 litre six cylinder which produces 275 H.P. and to my amazement,i found out this 5000+ pound xuv will actually do a quarter mile in less time than a 66 mustang v8-4 speed! Mid 15 second times. And mine is the 4.2! Just an incredibly versatile piece of Detroit genius! I don't know exactly why GM stopped producing these, but i think i read somewhere they were just to pricey for the times with all those options standard and available as add ons. Kinda makes you proud to be an American though when you see the build quality and innovative features. Can ya tell whether i like it or not yet? :) Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsGreat features and good fuel mileage for an SUV ConsNot enough seating for large families or groups of friends

I Love It! — I would like the towing power of a V8, but since I don't tow often, I am satisfied with the fuel efficiency of the V6. I love the retractable top feature, and having the sprayable rear cargo area is great. However, if you have a car seat in the back, you are unable to drop the partition to get more cargo room. Also if you plan to ever have more than 2 adults or 3 kids in the back, you will want a vehicle with 3rd row seating, which is not possible in this Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsLove the convertible cargo space, wasn't necessarily looking for this model when I bought the car but now I'm glad I got one. ConsInterior noise can get a little loud, especially with the roof forward and the back space open.

Great Hybrid Between Passenger Vehicle And Cargo Car. — I really like my GMC Envoy XUV. It is a great car for me because I don't have a family yet but it does a great job of converting between being able to handle 4-5 passengers and the camping gear for me and my wife being able to go on a weekend camping trip. I have the V6 model so acceleration can be a little hesistant but no more than I would expect from and SUV vs. a car. Have had some mechanical issues but I wasn't the first owner of the car so I don't know how well scheduled maintenance was kept up and maintenance hasn't been all that unexpected considering the mileage of my car. Good Weekend Vehicle — Because it's a one-of-a-kind show car, there are some idiosyncrasies that I wasn't expecting, some good some not so. Overall, though, this is a great weekend vehicle to haul your team and gear around in to the beach or to the mountains. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Very, Very Good Family Vehicle — this vehicle is amazing, when it come's down to the winter capabilities. put this truck in awd, and you will be a belierver in awd... i was skepticle when i seen awd included with my 4 hi, and 4 low, but this truck is a beast in awd, and you still get your fuel economy. the straight six has plenty of torque, and it is a very comfortable ride as well.
