Fun. — a generally fun car to drive, good handling and fuel economy for the power it puts out. very nice on long trips the seats are a beige color so they dont overheat in the sun and are heated for the winter. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Fun To Drive, Period. — Great, fast car. Has huge "ooooo, Cool Volvo" appeal! The interior is well designed and comfortable. I've been a big fan of how the windshield does not slope waayyy down the hood of the car like some of these newer 4-doors. The vantage point from the steering wheel of a S40 can only be topped by a Mercedes-Benz. Plus the 1.9T acceleration always surprises my passengers! Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Volvo S40 2,0 T+ Performance — Volvo S40 Turbo 0-100 = 6,4 sek Virtual Blue paintjob Top speed = +250 km/h ( Gps measured ) H&R springs and Koni Dampers Remodeled Turbo Reprogrammed ECU New 2,5" pipe and racing CAT Tire = 215/30-17 Rims = Svenska falg Stereo by = Phoenix Gold, MAC Audio, Infinity and SONY Overall this is a pretty nice car to drive around in, itôs absolute best premormances is between 70 and 170 km/h. Have pressed it over 250 on Autobahn, and it seems that this is around the limit of itôs speed. I will hold on to this car for another 6-12 monthôs, but after that i will look for something more powerful... V8 seems probable... Ferrari is my first choise, but financially i need a few more years to make it a reality.... | ||

'new' S40 Trumps Apart From The Boot Space. Only 2.0d Is Better Engine Though. — The low pressure turbo engine is a marvel. 40 mpg is do-able but performance is up too. Is the sort of thing they've been doing to diesels to make them competive, and now VW are putting them on their petrol engines. Shame Volvo don't do it anymore. The car is based on a Mitsubishi Charisma and it's the Japanese bits that make it feel less solid than a 'proper' Volvo, at least it has the legendary Volvo seats. Good news on the 440 mile trip I regularily do. The first curvy Volvo at the time, but only time I feel good about the looks are from behind when I remember the hours I spent racing around Donnington in one on TOCA (PS1). FOR: Comfy, real world quick, huge boot, 109k miles and still reliable AGAINST: Dull handling, noisy cabin, needs brake upgrade Primary Use: Commuting to work |
