Pros

Small and easy to handle, great fuel consumption ( 5.8l/100km), good acceleration when the turbo boosts

Cons

poor accileration in low revs...

Just Love It... — Has a great fuel consumption due to 1.4 TDi engine. Handling is made easy with powersteering, ABS and ESC... a nice towncar

Pros

Fuel consumption

Cons

Space for fishing gear

25

Polo's Are Small!! — Like: Fuel consumption, perfect for commuting, nice rust protection, low tax, low insurance, cheap tyres. Dislike: Instabile in faster driving, to small for my extensive fishing gear, expensive service, broken A/C, not for northern climate - stuff get frozen for example the speakers...

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Fast, cheap in exploatation

Cons

small space inside

45

City Car — It is a good car for 2 or maximum 3 people, economic, high mpg rate. It is a economy class car, with stiff suspensions and a little bit noisy. The space is enough for 2-3 people, but if more, it gets uncomfortable. Very durable, never had problems with it! Now in detail: Performance: If there are only 2-3 people inside, it acts like a sports car, if more, accelerates slowwwly. Very responsive brakes and steering! Build Quality: 5*, rarely needs repairs and the parts are cheap. Appearance: Like a fashioned lady outside, the inside plastic doesn't look so good(economy class car). The car is not suited for a long road, it has small trunk, and driving performance degrades if there are 3+ adult persons in the car (my engine is gas 65hp) perhaps on a 101hp diesel engine is better. Cost of Ownership: High mpg rate, ordinary maintenance price rates. Fun Factor: Fun to drive, but not for long distances

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros

Its german not sexy but reliable... it allways comes in time hehe

Cons

Its smaller than a tin can.

Good Enough For Me — It is a fsi so may be diffrent to other styles but my car has performance for its class. It is a volkswagen so do i really need to say anymore about build quality. It is a good all round hatchback unless you get a gti,st or a gsi there isnt a better hatch. The car is fun to drive but i find that the same with anycar so.

Cons

It Belongs To The Missus ... Honest ! — No performance No repairs have been needed But its cheap and reliable ' yawn ' 1.2 3 cylinder engine so performance is not great !?! Just a good solid safe little motor , the wife prefers small cars after i had her driving our old Beemer 5 series a couple of years back.

I loved this car! I swapped the tired 1100cc motor for a 1300 Golf lump which resulted in quite perky performance. Bought the car as a skint student for £45 and ended up running it for years, touring ... Read More
