Toyota Highlander, Nicest Vehicle I've Ever Owned. — Marta and I bought this used last year. We absolutely love it. It's amazing in the snow, comfortable for 5, has a very quiet yet powerful motor, and all the toys you need. I work out of it and find it perfect for a road warrior salesman. We'll keep it until we can get a good deal on a V6 AWD Toyota Venza. We really like the look of them.

This Car Is Awesome!! — The handling, acceleration and the fuel efficiency of this car are awesome. The car is comfortable and reliable!! is an SUV that you can trust your family to be safe in. The maintanance of the car is reasonable, regular oil changes its all it needs to keep running in excellent shape!! Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsSmooth Ride Consnothing

Good For Now — Smooth Ride, Plenty of Cargo room, great 4wd, performes awsome in the snow, and best of all over 20mpg(with the v6 awd). This vehicle is great for river trips and snow trips. Rack up the bikes or boards for a weekend in the mountains or fill the back for a day at the beach. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

2003 Toyota Highlander Base Review
ProsGood simple exterior look, light frame feel but still safe. Surprisingly roomy interior with great neutral colors and detailing, not over done, but not under done either. large side windows and good head room. ConsWell cant complain about handling, it is an SUV, the acceleration could have been a little better along with breaking sensitivity. No rear air a/c with controls is a big negative for any back seat passengers...

My Ride — Good simple looks, nice interior, great room for its outward size. Stock tires are nice and ready to be taken over curbs and a little bumpy grass. Gas mileage is normal. The engine has been rattling over the last 2 yrs of ownership and its a little embarrassing, but it is still a dependable SUV. Primary Use: Commuting to work |
