Reliable, Fun, Great. Can't Go Wrong With Buying This Car. — For a lot of people, including myself, their car is like home away from home. I live in Houston, TX, and it's the kind of city where if you don't have in car, your life won't be very productive. That being said, your car needs to be reliable. The 2003 Toyota Camry is practically synonymous with reliability. This car is running like brand new, and although it's almost 7 years old now, it is still up with the times. You won't get in this car and have the feeling it's outdated. It's very roomy, JBL sound system is awesome, seats are comfy, V6 engine isn't mighty, but it's enough to get you going quick when you're on the go. Braking, handling, acceleration are all great. Build quality is superb. No squeaking or rattling, and it's awesome because squeaking and rattling are a pet peeve of mine. Appearance on the outside is good. It's not over the top, looks nice and professional. Interior styling is great too. Gas mileage is awesome. I get an easy 30+ on the highway, regardless of EPA estimates. City is about 24 mpg, which is good for a V6. This car is fun to drive. This is the kind of car you wouldn't mind loading up with friends on a weekend and taking it out for a cruise to downtown or the beach. It's got plenty of space for their antics, a moonroof to bring in the fresh air, and a good ambient feeling for a sedan.

Pros

reliability, build quality, most people have basic 4 cylinder LEs,  a little bit of exclusivity

Cons

1st to 2nd transmission shift, lack of communication with accelerator

My Two Pet Peeves Of My 2003 Toyota Camry Se V6 — The only problems I have with my 2003 Toyota Camry is the transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. If you step on the gas a good amount it wildly shifts down and the engine red lines so I take my foot off and then have to be much more conservative with my acceleration needs for that moment. Basically when this happens you get a little jerk back and forth from flooring it to letting way off to trying to floor it again, its aggravating, ... the 210hp 3.0 V6 other then those small quips is very very nice.

First Family Car. — Really the wife's car but I maintain it and keep it purring. Bought it in 2006 with 22k on clock now she has 80+ and still purring. Made 2 1/2 round trips between N.Y. and Orlando and still purring.

Great Car — Would recommend to anyone looking for a dependable, low maintenance car. Bought new in 2003 and have experienced only one trip to the dealer for a small issue repair. Great for highway or city and will keep the car until we begin experiencing issues.

Pros

Extremely reliable - 10 years and only basic maintenance - oil change, brakes, tires, battery. Rides, handles looks good enough. No rattles, squeaks, no rust. Drive 60 mph gets at least 45+ mpg (really!). For a 4 cylinder has enough oomph to get on the highway from an entrance ramp

Cons

Dealer service was rip off city. If you can do your own serivce do it. Other than the car being a bit noisy, and the sound system not really premium, it is a gem

Great Deal - Hey, Its A Toyota! — Owned it exactly 10 years new years day - bought it new. Everything I expected from a Toyota. Good value, reliable, trustworthy. Has never failed me in extreme heat, frigid cold, snow storms, you name it, it got me thru it. Family bought a 1969 Toyota Corona, my first was a 1973 Corolla 5 speed. Owned many other brands, but Toyota has always delivered on good value for the dollar.....

Pros

* Reliable
* Good gas mileage combined with powerful engine
* Very comfortable
* Excellent performance, very easy to control.
* I felt safe going long distance, always knew I can trust it.

Cons

* Looks could be more modern.  Toyota always go with a very conventional looks.  But its not a big trade-off for the comfort and reliability.

The Most Reliable And Reasonable Sedan For The Middle-class Family. — The car is extremely reliable. It went 164K without any breakdowns. Other than changing oil, batteries, breaks, tires I never had to do any repair work. At about 140K I changed the belts (including timing belt) and pomp just because I knew it should be done. Absolute pleasure to drive. Soft, very quiet engine. At 9 years old and with high mileage Toyota Camry is still in the great condition and can go for many more years+miles. I used the car for everything, commuting to work, going on vacations, long-drive trips. I didn't have to worry about a thing going wrong with it. It was always perfect. I did buy an extended warranty for 100K. This was not a smart thing to do because there was never a need to use it even now, when the car has almost double the miles of the warranty.

A Solid, Reliable Car — I bought this used from a family member several years ago, and it has not disappointed me at all. It gets great gas mileage, and it has been very dependable. If only all cars were this reliable! It's a pretty safe bet.
